Health Care and the Deficit: Democrats Lie, Cheat and Steal (from You and Me)

Medicare is going bankrupt, and the cost of both Medicare and Medicaid is out of control.
Every time costs are "contained" n one are (usuallly wit adverse effect on care in that area), they go fruther out of control in other areas--as health care providers make sure and make up losses in one area with greater profits in another (or by overbilling, or any nummber of scams to get around the attempts to "contain" costs).


With this backdrop, consider the effort byt he Obama Administration to make a "deal" with "hospitals" (you mean EVERY hospital is "making a deal"--don't be silly). Now it should SCARE you to death that the Federal Government thinks it is appropriate for the government and a private INDUSTRY (represented by a fEW people) to form a "partnership" on hosw to run hospitals. For now, let that pass. The idea is to be ablet o announce these SHAM "savings" in Medicaid and Medicare agreed to byt he hospitals. Does that mean that hospitals are DONATION their "profits" to the government? That is the impression the Democrats want to leave ("lie, cheat and steal" is too MILD for this blatant deception--"1984" style Big Brother Big Lie might be closer). Does it mean that hospitals will provide LESS CARE. Darn right on that one. Will the "savings" be real, or costs just shifted around? We don't know, do we, because all that will be announced is a "bottom liine" number that hospitals have "agreed" to "save" the government $155 billion dollars over 10 years (the "savings" of 15.5 billion dollars per lyear being a drop in the bucket as to both the Federal deficit AND the out of control costs of the PRESENT Medicare and Medicaid programs).


"Okay," you say, "I agree that there is a lot of sham to this, but surely it is a good thing for the Democrats to do what they can to "save" Medicare and reduce the Federal deficit.". Ah, but you--you dolt--don't understand. This has NOTHING to do with "saving" Medicare and Medicaid, or reducing the Federal deficit. The lying, cheating and stealing (from alll of us) going on here is for one purpose, and one purpose alone: TO "PAY" FOR A FEDERAL GOVERNMENT TAKEOVER OF HEALTH CARE. This money (the "savings") is NOT going to be used to try to keep Medicare and Medicaid solvent. Instead, the idea is to use the NNOUNCED "savings" as a devicie to commit the government to MORE health care programs, which can then have their own cost overruns (like Medicare and Medicaid).


Let me be as blunt as I can: It is INSANE to suggest "paying for" a Democratic health care bill with "savings" from Medicare and Medicaid. Any "savings" are NEEDED simply to "save", and help "pary for", MEDICARE AND MEDICAID. Think of how INSANE--not to mention stupid--you are if you fall for this scam.


Do Democrats CARE that this is a scam? Of course not. Democrats WANT a health care bill. They don't care if it adds to the deficit, or that any "savings" should be used to reduce the deficit---including specifically the deficit in Medicare and Medicaid. Democrats (Pelosi aand Reid kind) simply want to be able to SAY that they have "paid for" a Federal health care bill. That this is absurd is immaterial to them. We are running a TWO TRILLION dollar defict in this year alone, and Democrats want to say that they have "paid for" their health care bill with a supposed "savings" of $155 billion dollars over 10 years. That TWO TRILLION dollar deficit is for ONE YEAR. You have to sort of admire gall on this level (the level of Obama and the Democrats).


Now we know that the cost of Federal health care is going to spiral out of control, just like Medicare and Medicaid costs have vastly exceeded estimates when the programs were passed. But that is the LEAST of the problems with the scam the Democrats are trying to put over.

We are NOT talking about "pay as you go" here!!!! Obama himself is projecting ONE TRILLION dollar deficits in 2013. A Federal health care bill will ADD to the deficit. We NEED any "savings" we can find anywhere in order to REDUCE the deficit. Why not simply "say" that Obama is going to "apy" for the health care bill with the one tirllion dollar "savings" he is lpromising in the Federfal deficit by 2013. That is essentially what the Democrats are trying to say: we can ADD to the deficit, so long as we can say we have a "promise" to reduce the deficit by the same amount from what the deficit would otherwise have been--would otherwise have been if we kept spending out of control. In other words, FORGET controlling spending. Any spending we "control" will be SPENT on something else!!!!!


Isn't that marvelous? Thre is NO WAY to reduce the deficit this way--certainly not by "cutting" spending!!!. Every "cut" in projected spending simply "apys for" more spending. (LOL. That really is funny I have previously called Obama a comic genius (I would add second bananas "Total Failure" Pelosi and "Dirty Oil" Reid to the list of those who are "comic geniuses"). You can see why he deserves that label. And Obama will, with a straight face, go out and say that we can't "sustain" the present level of government spending.


The way the Democrats are approaching this whole thing guarantees two trillion dollar deficits as far as the eye can see. At best, we are stuck with NEVER reducing spending, but relying upon the government increasing its revenue for any small reduction of the deficit that occurs. Furhter, any small "savings" we can acieve, by taking money out of the private economy with these fascist "deals", merely are used to pay for MORE government spending.


I have called President Obama a "piece of work" (meaining that in the worst possible way), and he is. But what are the Democrats in Congress? This is a recipe for disaster, pure and simple. and our country will probably not survive it (in its present form).
