Should the Government "Compete" with Wal-Mart? President Obama Gets Absurd on Health Care, But Not Enough People Are Laughing.

It is impossible to keep up with the "1984" style false propaganda of President Obama.

He repeated again today that objectively FALSE propaganda that we "need" a government provided health care option to "compete" with private plans. What can you say about an absurdity like that?

First, just where in the Constitutioin does it say that the Federal Government has the power to "compete" with private business in this country? Let that pass, since no one seems to care about the Constituiional scheme of a Feeeral Government with LIMITED powers.

On any terms, the statatement is ridiculous. How can private business "compete" with the Federal Government? The Federal Government can PRINT MONEY (and is). The Federal Government can run at a LOSS, and IS.

One of the known predatory practices of a would-be monopoly (as the Obama Federal Government is in this case) is to operate at a LOSS until you drive your competition out of business, because the would-be monopoly has the resources to outlast its competiton. Selling below cost, for this preadatory reason, is AGAINST THE LAW in this country.

I guarantee you that the Federal Government "opton" i health care will be operating "below cost". In other words, the Federal Government will be LOSING MONEY because of "health care reform". Why else would Democrats be looking for a SCAM (see earlier entry today) to suggest that we are "paying for" the cost of health care reform?

It is simply laugh-out-loud absurd (Obama being a comic genius) to talk about the private health care companies "competing" with the government "option". What the government will charge is totally ARBITRARY (depending on how much of a deficit the government wants to run), and has little to do with the real cost to the government of providing the "service". It is no accident that the Senate food service was turned over to private business. The government could not do it. well. But there was no way a private restaurant could COMPETE with a government restaurant, IF the govrfenment restaurant was subsidized with taxpayer money, while the privat restaurant was not. The whole concept is absurd.

Why not have a government "bank" competing against other banks? Ooops!!! I forgot. In effet, we now HAVE THAT. Why not have a government car company compete against other car companies? OOPS!!! I forgot. We now effectively HAVE THAT. Why not have government PX type stores, and commisaries, open to EVERYONE. Give some COMPETION to Wal-Mart!!!! Sure, the only way they ccould really "compete" is with taxpayer subusidies, but how is that different from a "government health care option". Why not have a "government option" for EVERYTHING.

Obama, and the Democrats, fullly intend to turn this country into something unrecognizable. If we allow it to occur, and we seem almost ready to do so, we will fully deserve what we get.
