Yep. I was really late on the Flying, Fickle Finger of Fate for last week. So I am combing the "Finger" entry for last week with they entry for this week's "Finger".
You will recall that the Flying, Fickle Finger of Fate is this blog's unauthorized reincarnation of the old "Laugh In" "award" for conspicuous supidity/evil which came to light in the previous week. The coveted/dreaded award is represented by a statuette of a pointing INDEX finger.
You have to admit that Ramn Emanuel and attheists (of the type responsible for that deliberately offensive Washington poster) are deserving winners--more than upholding the high/low standards of previous winners, from numerous "journalists" and "news" organizations to politicians like Nancy "Total Failure" Pelosi and Harry "Dirty Oil" Reid (not to mention Barack "World" Obmaa). Obma is an "unfingered" co-conspirator with Emaunuel in this week's award.
See the two entries above for the deserving conduct that caused the "Finger" to point in these particular directions over the past two weeks. Emnanuel, of course, let his "boss" make a fool of himself, while Emanuel was evidently involved up to his eyeballs in discussions with the Illinois Governor (albeit there is the caveat that you can't believe "anonymous sources" until the gossip is confirmed "on the record"),. Emanuel, of course deserves the award for his past, well documented, conduct and statements as a "Chicago thug". These are, of course, the kinds of people with whom Obama has been associated his entire career, including the Illinois Governor himself, who Obama supported, and that governor's associaes. Remember Tony Rezko--a fundraiser for both Obama and the Governor?
The conduct of "militant atheists" (a contradiction in terms for true skeptics, like myself, who simply don't believe in "faith" of any kind, including the numerous leftist religious doctrines) in Washington, and their supporters, is beyond defense (except for leftists, who will defend anyone except Christians, conservative talk show hosts, the Governor of Illinois, and big corporate executives unwilling to agree that big corporations should follow leftist policies).
Award Ceremony (as usual, a virtual ceremony without video or grpahics, which is why I suggest using the image of Dick Martin presenting the award on the old "Laug In" as a visual aid):
Imagine Dick Martin thrusting the two statuettes of the "Finger" at the camera and saying: "Rahm Emaneul and Atheists, these are for you. Have faith: you deserve them. Even the fear of Chicago thugs could not prevent you from getting them."
