Fox News: Incompetent "Journalists"

As this blog has often stated, correctly, Fox News is part of the mainstram media problem, and NOT part of the solution . That is why I watch Fox News less and les--doing little more than surf it like I do the rest of the incomopetent "journalism" out there. Want an example of Fox incompetence? I thought you would never ask. Do you think you know what the present budget impasse is about? Well, you don't, if you watch Fox News (or any other of today's incompetent "journaliss"). To listen to Fox--Carl Camericon, incompetent, for example), this is all about a "compromise" on a NUMBER. The Republicans want to "cut" 61 billion dollars from spending for the rest of this year, while Democrats are "offerering" to "cut" 33 bilion. Hogwash. You "journalists" of Fox News are INCOMP:ETNET, and you should be ashamed to make it so obvious. Republicans have proposed 61 billion dollars of SPECIFIC CUTS--supposedly cack to toward 2998 levels on "discretionary" spending. What Democrats and Obama have done is (vaguely) propose 33 billion dollars s in "cuts", as a compromise, but NOT 33 billion dollars of the same cuts ALREADY PASSED by the Republicans (no doubt what they are). You get the picture. What are the real differences here. The Speaker of the House (correctly, I think) says that the Democrat "cuts" are "smoke and mirrors". Fox is NOT INTERESTED. That is because Fox is NOT INTERESTED IN FACTS. Fox thihnks FACTS BORE PEOPLE> Therefore, Fox is willing to accept the Obama game of disguising the argument with vague, misleading NUMBERS. Democrats and Repulicans could "agree" totally on a NUMBER (say 35 billion) and still not be close to a real agreement. To take an absurd example, to illustrate the point, say Democrats poposed to "cut" 35 billioin dollars by picking out projects totally in Republican districts (not so very absurd, when Democrats were in complete control, as they did smething like that in their "stimulus" slush fund). Obviously, that "agreement" on a NUMBER would mean.................NOTHING. But Fox, not being composed of actual "journalists" interested in FACTS, is uninterested in the details of the disagreement here. Fox is merely interested in the "socrecard", because Fox thinks their viewers want simple stuff, instead of explanations of the "weeds". Demolcrats played similar games on the health care bill, and Fox failed spectaculary to bring out the FACTS of what was really in the bill. In short, Fox is more interested in the political theater than the facts, because Fox thinks that is what sells. Let me give you another example, taking Obamaus use of a married couple as an illustrative model. Say the household budget needs to be cut $5,000.00. The husband took a $5,000.00 hunting trip last year. The wife (mainly interested in eliminating the hunting trip anyway) proposed to cut the household budget $5,000 by eliminating the hunting trip. But the husband says his PLANNED budget for the next year included $10,000 for a hunting trip (as hunting trip expenses have gone up, and besides a hunting trip is an "invstment" in the environment). What the husband fails to mention, of course, is that HIS planned budget contains a $10,000 reduction in shopping for the wife. Thus, the husband proposes to AGREE with the wife to "cut" $5,000 from the household budget-the PLANNED budget--by "cutting" the cost of his hunting trip to $5,000 (the same as last year). The husband many even "compromise" by cutting the wif3e's shoopping on ly $5,000, leaving the overslpending the same as the previous year--but "cutting" $5,000 from the "planned" budget". Yes, there is absolutely no doubt that Obama--the childish liar in the room--has done this sort of thing in the past, and continues to try to do this sort of thing. He wants to count "ctus" from HIS planned budget as "cuts". Further, he wansts to count SCHEDULED reductions of forces in Iraq and Afghanistan as "cuts". And those are only the beginning gambits in the gamesmanship of this President. And, from the Democrqat point of view, there probably are some REAL (as distinguished from the "hunting trip" kind of deception) differences in where they would prefer to make cuts, if cuts are going to be made. Do you see how the NUMBER is basically IRRELEVANT. It has nothing to do with how close to an agreement the sides are. The sides may agree on a NUMBER of 35 billion, and not agree on a single olllar of cuts (because they don't agree on where any of the cuts should be made). Yes, I am again calling President Obama a LIAR, for acdting like the number is all there is. But I am clling the people of Fox News LIARS, and INCOMPETENTS, for being equally uninterested in the facts. Bottom line: The people of Fox News, with few exceptions, are INCOMPETENT "journalists". They are uneinterested in the facts, and thus pretty much useless if you want to learn the facts (useless, that is, unless you have the ability to read between lines like I do, and even then I have no way to tel you--from Fox--the facts of where the differences actually exist on this budget bill).
