Gloria Borger and the Budget: Dishonest Political Hack on The Liar Network (CNN)

Yes, this is not nearly the first time this blog has featured Gloria Borger of CNN (The Liar Network). It is always in the same context, bcause Ms. Borger (like almost everyone on CNN) is a dishonest political hack on a propaganda network. What was tonight's crime? Well, I saw a few minutes of the CNN "aalysis" on the announcement tonight that "progress was made", but still no deal. Pathetic (the analysis). But what struck me was how DISHONEST Gloria Borger was. Heere was her pretext of "analysis", in the context of The Liar Network continuing to push the idea that this is just not enough spending cuts to be arguing about: "I spoke with some Senators (unnamed, as is always true when a "journalist " wants to both be dishonest and enable dishonest politicians) who said that they were trying to convince House Republicans that they should save this big fight for the MORE IMPORTANT battles over raising the debt ceiling and the 20112 budget." First, why is this not too small for DEMOCRATS to worry qabout? Democrats LOST the election, and FAILED to pass this budget/spending bill when they were in control of every part of government. Why do they WANT to PROVE that they have no interest in cutting ANY spending, and that they were totally incompetent when they controlled the government. How DISHONEST do you have to be to not even ask that question, which Gloria Borger obviously did not do (on ari, or with DEMOCRATIC Senators). It was clear that Borger, as all of CNN, is only interested in blaming Repubicans for this--POLITICAL HACKS, each and every one of them. Borger basically said she only talkied to Repubilcan Senators, unless you could construe her to have talked to some Democrats ABOUT REPUBICANS (not about whether they have any problems with picking this fight). .And we, of course, don't know that Borger talked to anyone, since she--dishonest to the end--is not naming names. But let us look a little fruther at Borger's DISHONEST "point". Do you realize that the same people on CNN were making the SAME "point" as to whey Republicans should not make a big fight with Obama over the "deal" extending the Bush tax cuts (ADDING spending, beyond just extending the Bush tax cuts). "Make your fight next year, when you control the House, and make it over the BIG things instead of looking bad refusing to "compromise" with Obama." You see what is going on here. And I know the DSHONEST Borger sees. TGhe idea is to ALWAYS "look to next time". Well, as far as a vast number of people are concerned, including me, NEXT TIME IS HERE. What would happen if Republicans refused to make a fight on these relatively EASY cuts? Debt Ceiling? You already know that Borger and CN are going to say that Republicans HAVE to extend the debt ceiling, or face financial ruin for this country (even though Obama voted AGAINST it in Congresss). Repubicans will again be "advised" to save themselves for a fight they can win. And th eRyan budget for 2012, and reform of Medicare and Medicaid? You KNOW--at least I do--that Borger and CNN are going to say that it is TOO BIG and GOO AMBITIOUS for Republicans to really FIGHT over that, or any other major spending cuts for the 2012 budget. Why not wait for the 2012 electons, and THEN do something (when Repubicans MIGHT control all of the government). You can see where this is going. By this kind of logic, you NEVER "fight". And that is exactly what some Repubican SENATORS want. They don't dare say so, because they know it means they could NOT get elected dogcatcher in the Republican Party. But some Republican Senators have no principles, and just want to keep their cozy little jobs in an all powerful Federal Government (meaning more power for them). These are the SAME Repubican Senators every time (except those who lost). Indeed, this blo has consistently told you--in foresight again--that almost ALL Repubican Senators in office before the 2010 elections are suspect. I MIGHAT trust Jim Demint. As stated previously in this blog, I will not mourn ANY other Repubican Senator. No, I don't trust Borger. But I don't trust Repubican Senators either. EVERY "anonymous" report--with an agenda--like that of Borger LOSES SUPPORT FOR REPUBLICAN SENATORS who have been in office too long. People like me KNOW WHO YOU ARE, and we will not forget. Orrin Hatch in Utah? I have no loyalty to him. I don't trust him. And you could go on and on, including BOTH Texas Senators (where I live). Republican Senators had better stop believing they can get away with this dishonesty of their own. Forget it. You can no longer get away with it. No, I am not talking about always refusing to "compromise". I am talking about NOT BELIEVING IN ANYTHING, and refusing ever to fight when it might put you at risk. Too many Repubican Senators, throughout my entire life, have put their own POLITICAL POWER above Repubican principles. They have no more margin for striking at people like me from behind a mask. Either state your principles in the open, and defend them, or lprepare to have NO support. We, of course, know what "principles" Borger and CNN have: the pinciples of dishonest political hacks only interested in agenda. P.S. Nope. No proofreading or spell checking (eyesight) P.P.S. No, I am not saying that there should be no budget "compromise", so long as Republicans GET THINGS. If they end up only with "smoke land mirrors" (to quote the Speaker of the House), then look out below. And whatever happens, Republicans in the House need to fight SMARTER and HARDER at each subsequent step in the process. There is no patience for anything else out here--no matter how many power-hungry, no principled wimps there are in the U.S. Senate. .
