Libyan Rebels Cry Out for Help--From BUSH

No, the headline is not mine. It is the marvelous, current featured headline on Drudge (drudgereport.com). Yes, it is evidently true that rebels in Libya have been shouting for BUSH to help them. They are, of course, right not to look for leadership from Obama--who seems to avoid "leadership" at all costs (short of jumping on a bandwagon after either criticism of his inaction or success by others, as characterized his reaction to all of the events in the Arab world and the Gulf oil spill).

Which Bush are the rebels praying to? It could be either, although the report I heard suggested the reference was to George H.W. Bush, who imposed the first "no-fly" zone in Rraq. However, it could also refer to George W. Bush, who showed his willingness to promote democracy in the Arab world by word and deed--including getting rid of a madman at least as bad as--and probably worse than---Khadafi: anmely Saddam Hussein.

Yes, this also indicates that all you are getting from the mainstream media--especailly CNN--on the situation in Libya is PROPAGANDA. All we hear about is how the rebels are winning battle after battle, and are marching on Tripoli. WHY do they need "help"? Obviously, you do ot learn the real facts by talking on the phone to SELECTED peope from Libya (Anderson Cooper, this means YOU).

Of course being against Khadafi is the "right side". But I though "journalism" was about seeking "the truth" more than being on the right side. Oops. I forgot my own articlees. Today's journalism is NOT interested in actual information, but only in agenda (eiither politcial or personal). See, again, Michael Crichton's prescient novel, "Airframe".

And no, information is NOT continuous shots of shouting or cheering or angry crowds. That can be part of the story, but the media (especially TV, of course) is using those images as a SUBSTITUTE for the story.

Still, I am waiting for CNN to show continuous visuals and audio of the rebels in Libya yelling FOR BUSH. It would make my year if they do that. For that matter, it makes my year if they do not, because it shows just how dishones they really are.

P.S. Yes, I disavowed President Bush in 2006, but that was over DOMESTIC POLICY. My consistent position has been--unlike Obama and CNN--that President Bush was right to promote democracy in the Arab/Muslim world, despite leftist assertions that it was not right to "impose" our values on people not ready for them.. Further, I supported getting rid of that madman, Saddam Hussein, who was surely more of an active threat to the United States than Khadafi now is--even if we did not accomplish that worthy goal as well as perhaps we should have.

P.P.S. Note, as usual, that the above (and all articles now being put on this blog, until further notice) has neither been proofread nor spell checked (eyesight).
