Obama Is Not a Christian, and He Is Not a Jew (MSNBC: Anti-Semitic or Just Anti-Istael?)

No, the headline is not a suggestion that Obama is a Muslim, although his own book, along with Obama's consistent words and actions, suggest more concern about Muslims than about Christians and Jews. Bill Maher (noted "agnostic--rally an intolerant atheist--previously featured on CNN before he publicized this opinion) and I (agnostic, but not so noted) AGREE that Obama is not a Christian, but a "secular humanist". Translation: Obama's real religioin is leftist ideology. This blog has consistently labeled you a kook if you believe that Obama is a Muslim, although I can certainly understand how people get confused on that point. I would actually feel a lot better about Obama if he really were a Muslim, because it would indicate that he had some perspectdive outside of his obviouus leftist ideology (some othre set of beliefs to tempter that disastrous world inside of Obama's head--not to mention Maher's head).

Debate questioin for CNN to ask Obama (don't hold your breath): Bill Maher says yoiu are not a Christian, but a secular humanist. Do you se why Maher would say that, and why so many people are confused about your true religiious beliefs--considering that you have left out "by their Creator" in quoting the Declaration of Independence and have talked about small town Americans "clinging to their religion"?

As an agnostic, I can assure you that Obama no moretruly believes in the Christian religion than I do, although Obama and I strongly differ on Obama's real religion of leftist ideology. Among other things, I RESPECT people who actuallly believe in their religion (as distinguished from people who merely pay their religion lip service, like Nancy Pelosi, Obama and so many other leftists who profess to have a religion outside of their leftist ideology, which is their real religion, not to mention "establishment" people who think it is expecterd of them to profess to believe in a religioin). Obama, of course, does not even profess to be a Jew. That brings us to the truly naive and absurd Obama comments on the Middle East, and especially those comments totally undermining the position of Israel, stating the "unprecedented" (Obama's favorite word) AMERICAN position that Israel must go back to pre-1967 borders. No President has flatly stated that before, although we have flirted with that as an end goal in the past. For Obama to drop this bomb when he KNEW that the had invited Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu to the White House the next day was a slap in the face to Netanyahu and Israel. All Obama have Netanyahu in exchange for DESTROYING Netanyahu's netotiating position with a naive, "professorail" position that makes no sense in the real world, was Obama's WORDS that he is still committed to Israel's security. That, and $5, will probably enable Netanyahu to get a cup of coffee at Starbucks.

A few days ago I wrote an article correctly saying that I did not see how any Christian who believes in his or her religion could ever vote for Obama. No, that is not because Obama is not a Christian, although he is not. It is because Obama does not respect the Christian religion or Judeo-Christian traditions. Thus, I don't think a Christian should have any problem voting for someone like ME (albeit I am annuoncing now that I am not a candidate for the Republican nomination), because I do have respect for Christians who truly believe in their religion, and for the Judeo-Christian traditions that basically were responsible for western civilization. On POLICY< an agnostic like me should be much preferable to a Chrisitian who is really interested in a country in which he can practice his religion and pursue his values, than in voting for a professed "Christian" like Obama, who really wants to undermine traditional American values (despite his mere WORDS to the contrary). Obama told you that in San Francisco, to that open mike., and has made it clear in every word and action--EXCPET those MERE WORDS designed to directly appeal to Christians and peoiple who believe in traditional American values.

What about Jews? Supposedly (polls are evil things, and exit polls of this kind especailly evil), 78% of American Jews voted for Obama. In so doing, they BETRAYED Israel--supposdedly so dear to them. Now that they know for sure exactly where Obama stands (totally disregarding his mere words to the contrary), any Jew who votes for Obama is BETRAYING his people. How can I lecture Jews on this? Easy, Jews of the ACLU lecture ME on all kinds of things. I call them as I see them, and as an agnostic I see them pretty objectively.

You Jews out there doubt me on this? Doubt me on the real attitude of so many on the left toward Israel and religion of any kind? Don't. I saw no more than 30 seconds of MSNBC (almost THE leftist mouthpiece these days). What was the MSNBC reaction? Right. It was to say that NETANYAHU (who did not pick this fight) had gone "over the liine" by his criticsim of Obama. And that was BEFORE Netwanyahu's "lecture" to Obama (a deserved lecdture if one wever were deserved by anyone) outside of the White House tghis afternoon. For MSNBC, and most of the left, this is all ABOUT OBAMA> ANYONE who criticizes Obama, except in sorrow from the left, is racist or "disrespecdtful", or both. Thus, MSNBC had on this guest of the left saying that, along with saying that Netaanyahu and Israel are the main obstacles to peace in the Middle East. And they criticized REPUBLICANS for deliberately trying to ogo back on American policy over the decades (NEVER stated like Obama stated it). In other words, MSNBC, representing a good part of the left, is aying that Obama has it exactly right: that ISRAEL is the main obstacle to peace in the Palestinian question (and probably the whole Mideast), because Israle will not recognize the only reasonable position that all other reasonable people have long since accepted. In exchange for abandoning defensible borders, of course, Israel MAY receive Arab/Muslim Mideast assurance that Israel will be "allowed" to exist. Read that prior paragraph about Netanyahu using that, and $5, to get a cup of coffee at Starbucks.

Want more, you Jews out there? I will give you more. What else did MSNBC say, in trying to explanin the "inexplicable" idea that Republicans may come down on the side of Netanyahu on this--on the side of Israel? MSNBC said that Repubican politicians were obviusly, and cynically, trying to appeal to JEWISH VOTERS, and to EVANGELICALS> You remember evngelicals? They are people who really take their CHRISTIAN religion seriously, and mght be expected to look a little askance at Jews. After all, the Jewsish religion was the ENEMY of the early Christians (liek St. Paul, and even Christ himself--see Will Duran's descriptin/history in "Caesar and Christ"). Yet, evangelicals have consistently supported Israel. CONSRVATIVES have consistently supported Israel. it is DEMOCRATS--especailly leftist Democrats--who have waffled on supporting Israel (with the possible exception of a few like former MSNBC commentator Pat Buchanan, who is not really a conservative, in my view). Jimmy Carter has been son anti-Israel as to verge on the anti-semitic. But Jews still support liberal/leftist politicians. Something is wrong with this picture. EVANGELICALS are more effective and consistent supporters of Israel than AMERICAN JEWS. Go figure.

Am I through? Not quite. Kirsten Powers, supposedly a more "moderate" leftist sanitized enough to be pretty much a regular on Fox, appeared on Fox News tonight and insisted that Obama was RIGHT in what he said, and that Netanyahu had been "disrespectful" to President Obama. That is OBVIOIUSLY the leftist "line", no matter what "spin" they may choose to put out at any future time.

If Israel is thrown under the bus by the United States of America, as Obama has already pretty much done--but I am talking DESTRUCTION of Israel here, then Jews know who to blame. As Pogo said: "We have met the enemy, and he is us." By the way, I wish OBAMA had stood up for the United States of America overseas the way Netanyahu stood up for Israel.

And it the Christian religioin, and its adherents, continue to be more and more excluded from American life and policty, WHO cvan rightly be "blamed". Right. CRHISTIANS who vote for Obama. What if most Americans do not even believe in the Christian religion, as the mainstream media and leftists seem to believe, but are just Christians "for convenience" (like Obama--although probably not as blatantly and thoroughly consciious of it as Obama)? Does not matter. If Christians--those who believe--vote AS A BLOC (like, for example, the Jews have almost done against the interest of Israel), Obama cannot win. If Jews join Christians in a revolt against Bill Mahre Democrats like Obama, although Maher may be more pro-Israel for all I kno, then that voter alliance could save Israel AND religioni as part of life in this country.

P.S. Nope. No proofreading or spell checking (my poor eyesight). I assure you I am right about MSNBC and most of the left, by the way, as well as Obama. MSNBC has consistently been ANTI-ISRAEL (especailly with Netanyahu), and ANTI-CHRISTIAN> I agree with you, however, that MSNBVC is hardly the only culprit. The entire mainstram media, and especially CNN, are generally ANTI-CHRISTIAN and ANTI-ISRAEL (again, especially with Netanyahu as prime minister). It is not accidetn that Bill Maher was a regular on CNN until he started saying that Obama is not a Chrisitan. It is not that CNN is Christian, and resented Maher for that reason. CNN had already proven sympathetic to Maher's intolerant, atheistic beliefs. It is that CNN is PART OF THE OBAMA CAMPAIGN, and they are not going to feature Maher (at least not saying THAT) saying something that CNN thihks will hurt Obama, as it should.
