Barack Obama, Rush Limbaugh, and the Mainstream Media

Is the media "in the tank" for Barack Obama?  If you doubt that, you have turned off your intellect for the duration (at least of this election).

One of today's FEATURED AOL/AP stories is about how Barack Obama (poor baby) has set up a WEBSITE to "debunk" rumors (as if rumors about John McCain were not all over the place--including some false ones spread by the media and Barack Obama, such as the allegation that McCain does not care if the WAR in Iraq goes on a hundred years).  It is bad enough that the mainstream media regards that as "news".  Look at this paragraph from the AP story, if you doubt how obsessively nuts the media have become in their desire to get Obama elected and their fear of Limbaugh:

"The rumor that Michelle Obama railed against "whitey" in a diatribe at Chicago's Trinity United Church of Christ has circulated on conservative Republican blogs for weeks and was repeated by radio talk show host Rush Limbaugh. The rumor included claims of a videotape of the speech that would be used to bring down Obama's candidacy this fall."

It is almost unimaginable how DESPEICABLE the despicable Associated Press is.   Luckily, they are also STUPID.

Rush Limbaugh did NOT (not clear from the story but I HEARD it at the time, several WEEKS ago) state this rumor as a FACT (contrary to what the AP,, and mainstream media ofen does).  He stated it as a RUMOR from a doubtful source, which had become a somewhat "hot" rumor.  The AP evidently regards it as "news" that Rush Limbaugh "spread" a rumor by doing the same thing the AP is doing today (and others in the leftist, mainstream media)--reporting that there is a RUMOR out there.   Rush had, of course, stopped talking about it after a pretty brief mention on a single day.

But the AP/mainstream media reaction to an Obama WEBSITE--gave Rush a chance to talk about the RUMOR all day today, AND about how much POWER he has considering that his mere MENTION of a RUMOR is regarded as "news" for the mainstream media--who also, sanctimonious, stupid hypocrites that they are, talked today about Rush using his as an opportunity to spread the rumor some more.  AS IF that were not exactly what the AP and mainstream media are doing.

P.S.  Note that THIS "conservative blog" has NOT mentioned this rumor about Michelle Obama until now.  That is because, when I heard Rush first mention it, there did not seem to be much to it.  Further, it was lableled as a RUMOR.  I do NOT report "rumors", unlike the mainstream media, except to make a point about the mainstream media itself, or sometimes about the nature of the rumor spreading process because of a lack of journalistic standards today.  It is those sanctimonious hypocrites in the mainstream media that will report GOSSIP from anonymous sources, and then attack blogs for reporting rumors.  It goes without saying that LEFT WING BLOGS are more vicious in reporting rumors than conservative blogs ever thought of being.  The mainstream media is simply not interested in leftist "crimes" against reason.   For example, remember that out of context GOSSIP generated about Rush Limbaugh ("phony soldier") by a left wing internet site, which was promptly spread by the mainstream media?  The mainstream media will pick up a LEFT WING "smear" as "rasing questions", while the mere existence of a possible right wing "smear" causes them to froth at the mouth.  That is why the DEFINITION of the term "snactimonious hypocrite" in the dictionary is merely:  "See mainstream media."

P.S. 2:  Yes, I KNOW dictionaries do not ordinarily define PHRASES, but they should.
