Iraq and the Despicable Associated Press

After little or no "news" from Iraq for what seems like weeks, the AP (featured story on AOL) is putting out today a story about the Iraqi statement that talks with the U.S. on a "long term security agreement" are at a dead end.  The problem here, of course, is NOT that this is an item that should be ignored (unreported);  the problem is is all of the GOOD NEWS from Iraq that is going unreported (meaning you have to rely on INFERENCE to figure out what is going on in Iraq--see below--rather than the totally useless mainstream media reporting).

Things are going REALLY WELL in Iraq.

How do I know that?  Is it the fact that leftist Democrats have introduced a bill in Congress to prohibit military news conferences?  Well, that may be part of it.

But the real proof (Sherlock Holmes and the dog that did NOT bark in the night) is the despicable Associated Press.  If this is the WORST Iraq storly the despicable AP can come up with, it is unimaginable how well things must be going in Iraq.  Yet, this is the first AP/AOL story in DAYS, and there is little "news" from Iraq in the mainstream media.  Again, this means that things are going incredibly WELL in Iraq.

As a subsidiary point, the Iraq government must think things are going well, as to their internal security, or they would not be so willing to antagonize the U.S.
