Free Speech: Leftists Don't Believe In It

I have told you for YEARS that leftists do not really believe in either free speech or democfacy, and they keep proving me right. 

Lefitists continue to try to SILENCE "conservative talk radio".  But the new item today is a bill introduced by leftist Democrats in Congress to PREVENT the military from holding press conferences (I really can't make this stuff up).  WHY is this bill being introduced?  Easy.  Leftists want the ONLY version of what is happening in Iraq and elsewhere to come from THEM, and from their captive media.  They especially do not want any news of SUCCESS in Iraq to get out.  They KNOW that the despicable AP, and the rest of the mainstream media, will SUPPRESS such news--esepecially if not FORCED into covering it by military news conferences.  At worst, leftist want to INTIMIDATE military men from saying anything that conflicts with the leftist line too much, for fear of being SHACKLED by legislation. 

Q.E.D.  Leftists do NOT believe in free speech.

The New York Times, by the way, has carried several articles/columns in the past few days suggesting that we have too much "free speech" (translation:  speech not controlled by leftists).  I kid you not.  I am, and have been, serious about this.  Lefitists truly do NOT believe in free speech, and I have notice this over the FORTY year period (since college) that I have been paying attention.  See the previous entry today about "rumors" concerning Barack Obama.  Do leftists want to be able to STOP those rumors, and control all of the rumors THEMSELVES.  Of course they want that.  They BELIEVE in free speech for left wing blogs.  It is CONSERVATIVES who are not entitled to free speech.  Believe it.  I assure you it is true (my description of the leftist attitude is true).
