Libya Update: Media Incompetence Continues, Except as Comedy, as Sodom and Gomorrah Impossible Search for an Honest, Competent AP Reporter Rolls oOn

See thee quoted headlines over the past three days in this blog. Today's really stupid, non-news headline featrued on AT&T/Yahoo is a masterpiece of comic genius rivalling Obama:

"Libyan fighters inch forward in Gadhafi hometown"

Note that this is the FOURTH headline on "military" operations in Libya 9at least the fourth, since I am not following these featured stories on an hourly basis) in the past theree days, and the sum total of the INFORMATION given in those four stories is ZERO. Why put out a story that is not "news"? Agenda and incompetence is the only explanataion.

Note, also, that this latest headline is from the AP, and uses the term "Libyan fighters", indicating that the despicable AP really is INCXONSISTENT and INCOMPETENT in ites terminoilogy from story to stoy? One story will refer to "rebel fighter.
Anotehr will refer to "Libyan fighters", and Reuters refereed to "Libyan forces".

Do you know what "Libyan fighters" MEANS? No, you don't, because the despicable AP does not. The CINCOMPETENTS of the AP just hope you get the general idea withoiut them having to be real reporters and give you real information. Ar not pro-Gadhafi fighters "Libyan fighters"? Are they from Mars? Are we talkijng aobut an organized military unit form a GOVERNMENT now operating in Libya? Is so, why not NAME the unit? Or are we just talking aoubt a disorganized mob of "fighters" connected loosely to what have been known as the "rebels" in Libya? My understanding is that we are really talking aobut the lattter. But that is the kind of thing theAP and AT&T/Yahoo should be CLARIFYING, instead of confusing because lthey are not interested in providing real information. If they were interested in providing real informationi, NONE of these four headlines would have existed in the past 3 days. Insttead the AP would have tried to run down exactly what is really happening in Libya, and provide INFORMAITON (instteaad of propaganda about how the attack on Gadhafi "continues".

I am sorry (okay, I am not). The more I think about it, the more it is obvious that the term "Libyan fighters" is NONSENSE. Is there an actual "Libyan arrmy)? Are these organized units? Are we not really just talking about a sort of mob waiting for NATO to weaken "Gadhafii forces" to the point that they can claim "glory" without much of a fight? And isn't it clear that the despicable AP, along wtih AT&T/Yahoo, are not interested in providing real information with regarrd to the situation on the ground in Libya--where the MAKEUP of the various groups in Libya is much more important than these meaningless "updates" on meanningless daily "military" operations in Libya. If the rebels actually KILL Gadhafi, or capture him, that would have to be regarded as "news" (althgouh not necessarily important as to the present long-term outlook for Libya). Ditto if Gadhafi is captured. And it would hae to be regarded as "news" if "rebeles" actually fully secure "Gadhafi's hometown,", even if it is pretty much a "walkover" engineeer3ed by NATO (a real military, as distinluished from thsese unidentified "fighters" the AP keeps talking about).

Why does AT&T/Yahoo keep "featureing" these incompetent, meaningless articles? I am not totally sure, other than that they are incompetent too. The only thing I am sure of is that you should BOYCOTT AT&T and Yahoo.
