Rush Limbaugh and This Blog Agree: Boycott Fox News

Hacker Boy (hacking into this despicable blog--I deny the rumor that I am employed by a Rupert Murdoch company--in the interest of truth and public decency): "Skip, you are hopeless. For your own purposes, you will deliberately distort what your own HERO, Rush Limbuagh, says. Some body should sue you, or arrest you."

Skip: "Let them arrest me. Casey Anthony, and the attorneys making a career out of her, prove that there is no surer path to riches in this country than to get involved in our legals system (so long as you succeed in turning it into a circus)."

Hacker Boy: "This is not funny, Skip. You keep using these false headlines. You KNOW that Limbaugh did not suggest a boycott of Fox News."

Skip: "I heard exactly what Rush said. He said, in part to excuse his own false tease, that he had been misled by the "tyupical sensationalism of Fox News>' Now you have to be aware that Rush is NOT going to start a war with Fox News. There is nothing in it for him, and he might even antagonize part of his audience. Therefore, for Rush Limbaugh to say that about Fox News--accurately, by the way--is the equivalent of me calling for a boycott of Fox News. That raises the question of whether this blog is more inflential than it appears. It is amazing (t some) how often things appear in this blog FIRST. This subject will be addresssed again in the upcoming article on today's report of the number of new claims for unemployment next week."

Yes, Rush Limbaugh is exactly right (although it is hard to know how serious he was--Limbuagh having a tendency to say he was obviously joking if called on this sort of thing). Does Rush read this blog? He should. It would often save him from embarrassment, such aS being the one man most responsible for failing to derail McCain in 2008. The point is that the people of Fox News are NOT good "journalists", if such a thing exists nnymore. Before anything else, they are CABLE TV hacks. That means "sensationalizing is what they do. That also partly explains why they will pick up an unfair mainstream media narrative, even when it is an obviously leftist narrative of the type Fox often criticizes. Fos is NOT about "information". Fox is about ratings and sensationalism.

I state again: Fox News is more "balanced" than the mainstream media. But Fox is NOT FAIR. Fox does not even try to be "fair". Hype and sensationalism are like oxygen to these people. The best you can say about Fox News is that it is UNFAIR TO BALL SIDES. The mainstream media is relentlessly unfair to only the conservative side.

Yes, boycott Fox. I was on the cutting edge, but Rush Limbaugh has now given you a wink and a nod that it is okay.
