Ike and Houston

Notice how Texas authorities have wised up and are NOT "evacuating" Houston--taking my advice (as everyone shoudl always do) NEVER to evacuate Houston  Basically, ANYTHING is better, and it was a act of panicked sutpidity to do that "evacuation" for hurricane Rita.

It does appear that Ike will "beat" (as the media ROOTS for it) my 50-50 odds (before Cubal) that iw would hit the U.S. at hurricane strength.  Note it COULD have died over Cuba or hit Mexico, however.  And we just NOW (last 24 hours) have a solid idea of WHERE ti will hit.  Its STRENGTH is still UNCERTAIN (although you, of course, have to assume a major hurricane).  The media SCARE stuff is still out there, though  The FACTS are bad enough (at this point).  The SCARE is pointless.
