Wall Street Bailout: Deal or No Deal

It turns out that Senate, "establishment" Republicans overstepped themselves--no surprise there.  In combination with Democrats trying to upstage McCain, they announced a "deal" on this Wall Street bailout that does not exist.

Is it any wonder that I have previously said that I would like to replace every Republican member of the Senate.  Okay, that is a slight exaggeration.  There are maybe 5 good Republican conservatives int he senate.  I have always been more in tune with the Republicans in the House, and probably remain so.

Was I misled by DEmocrats and the media running a bluff?  Maybe so.

For now, I still am not happey with the way this has gone.  Bottom line: President Bush no longer has any credibility with anyone.  The President no longer has any principles, if he ever did, and cannot be relied upon to do anything but try to manage "crisis", after turning the matter ver to failures like Paulson.
