Sarah Palin's Religion: The Evil Bigotry of Wold Bliszer and CNN, part II

The question here is:  Do we WANT out political elections to turn into a version of the SPANISH INQUISITION?  Wolf Blitzer, and the EVIL people at CNN, have answered this question WRONG.   They have come down on the side of evil--on the side of the Spanish Inquisition.

Wolf Blitzer, through a reporter in Alaska, made and indefensible personal attack on the RELIGION of Sarah Palin tonight.  No matter what religion you are, or what you think of Sarah Palin's religion (which you should regard as pretty much immaterial, although I can tell you she is a Christian), this should DISTURB you.  CNN is directly saying that a person's RELIGION is subject to ATTACK.  That could happen to anyone, and YOU may be next.

You MUST distinguish between the Spanish Inquisition and SECULAR consequences of certain religious beliefs.  CNN deliberately fails to make this crucial distinction, because CNN is deliberately trying a variation of the Spanish Inquisition.  That is what makes them evil people.

What if a religion "believes" in human sacrifice, like the Aztecs.  That is a religious belief, but it has DIRECT consequences on CONDUCT in the secular world on a major scale.   Say a religion believes that African-Americans are subhuman creatures without a soul, and can be killed with impunity  That is an EVIL reibligion, because the secular consequences of that religion are unconscionable.  On a lesser, but related, scale, the message of Racial HATE and anti-Americanism of Reverend Wright is a SECULAR message, although having the trappings of religious sermons.

Whether yo have the RIGHT doctrine on the Holy Trinity, or divinity of Jesus, has NOTHING to do with secular issues.  It MAY have something to do with your RELIGIOUS character, but if you start engaging in POLITICS over this kind of evil, you--like NN--are directly in the evil swamp of the Spanish Inquisition. What about that insane Catholic thing with the Pope?  What reasonable person believes that?  What, exactly, ARE "saints"?  Does the Bible talk about them?  Do "Bible=Believers" (the term of the really evil AP and its religious writer, Eric Gorski) think Catholics don't live by the Bible?  Well, wasn't the entire REFORMATION about that?  And is Joe Biden even Catholic, if he is pro-abortion?  These are really EVIL questions as part of a political campaign.  I have raised the Biden one before ONLY as a way of showing the sanctimonious hypocrisy of the mainstream media).  Did Jews Kill Jesus (see my entry containing, in part, that title)?   This is all evil junk, and EVIL to make part of our political campaigns.  This kind of stuff just foments religious DIVISION and HATRED for NO purpose.

What was the attempted EXCUSE (a truly evil, stupid one) given by CNN and Wolf Blitzer for making a RELIGIOUS ATTACK on Sarah Palin?  Their excuse was that her religion has formulated her character and world view.

Stare at that last sentence awhile.  If you don't have at least a glimmer what is wrong with it, there is probably no hope for you (unless I can bring you to the Light).   CNN obviously IS hopeless, because the don't see it.

The Spanish Inquisition would be glad to adopt the CNN view, and actually did adopt it.  The whole IDEA of religion is for it to affect a person's character and world view.  So what.  What is RELEVANT is the actual character and world view, and NOT the religion.

IF you are going to take the CNN's position, EVERYONE's religion is subject to scrutiny, because EVERYONE is "formed", in some fashion, by their religion (unless they don't really believe in it, which I fully believe is the case with the people at CNN, and MANY leftists).   The ONLY relevant question as to a person's religion is whether the religion advocates some secular EVIL of such a kind that mere support of the religion brings into question a person's SECULAR judgment.  Contrary to the mainstream media pap on Reverend Wright (tomorrow I will explain my view of how he fits in this analysis), it is NOT a matter of whether a candidate really BELIVEVES the doctrines of the religion.  It is a matter of whether the candidate promotes secular EVIL by belonging to the relition.

For example, if a candidate belonged to a church affiliated with the Ku Klux Klan, does it matter whether the candidate believes in the actions of the Ku Klux Klan, if the church association is such that he knows, or should know, about?  To get even more obvious, does it matter whether a candidate believes in human sacrifice, if he belongs to a religion that promotes human sacrifice?

Now that you understand the principles involved (Do you?  CNN does not.), let us go to the ridiculous presonal attack on the religion of Sarah Palin.  First, the attacks are mainly based on a church Palin LEFT in 2002 (an Assembly of God church, which makes it a Pentecostal church, which was in her SMALL town).  IF Obama had LEFT his church in 2002, would CNN have looked at it closely.  What am I saying????!!!!!!  They have not looked at the church Obama just left EVEN NOW.  Have I told you these people are SANCTIMONIOUS HYPOCRITES?  Yep.  I know I have.  They keep proving it.

What is wrong with that church?  Well, if you are the SPANISH INQUISITION, or a CNN BIGOT, I guess you can think it is not a "normal" "leftist" church where people don't take their religion seriously.  Pentecostals sometimes believe in "speaking in tongues" (sort of spirit possession, I think).  And this church had sort of an Alaskan specific notion ("belief" is too strong, I think) that Alaska was one of the out of the way REFUGES when the world ends. There is no indication Palin ever "acted" in any way on either of these little bit out of the normal (like an infallible human Pope?)  "beliefs" that may have been held by some in this Pentecostal church.  I don't care if these beliefs were held by ALL in the Pentecostal church, including Palin.  SO WHAT?  They have NOTHING to do with anything but religious doctrine.  I will debate this with ANYONE from CNN ANYTIME, and I DARE CNN to defend this.  This is religious BIGOTRY--trying to ridicule the innocuous religious practices of a Christian church.  Paln now belongs to a non-denominational evangelical church.  There is a similar church five blocks from where I am typing this in El Paso.

You can't excuse this.  I kid you not.  This is the SPANISH INQUISITION.  You don't get any more evil than this.  It is an invitation to hatred over religious doctrine.

Let me back up.  Palin does not believe in homosexual marriage.  She probably goes further than that in not even believing in a Constitutional Ameridment (as do I) limiting marriage to between a man and a woman.  She MAY not be an advocate of some other homosexual rights. Does this bring her "church" into play?  I am anticipating the NEXT excuse or maybe one they even gave in another broadcast, of CNN to go into the practices of her church.

Nope.  That "argument" is STUPID as well.  Now if her church advocated lynching homosexuals, or locking them away for life, that MIGHT be relevant (depending on whether that was a "real" doctrine, or made up by the left otu of vague references or ridiculous extrapolations).  What does the Catholic Church believe on homosexual CONDUCT?   What does the Methodist Church believe?  These are RIDICULOUS questions.  They are the WRONG questions. On very specific issues like this, the issue is NOT what the candidate's religion believes, but what the CANDIDATE believes.

It makes no difference what the Catholic Church thinks about abortion.  Joe Biden is pro-abortion (abbreviation, by the way, for pro-abortion on demand).  If Sarah Palin does not believe in homosexual marriage, or opposes the homosexual agenda in some other ways, then you should consider THAT.  To go into the quicksand of what the BIBLE says about homosexuality is STUPID, and EVIL.  You doubt me?  You really are a fool, aren't you.  The Bible--last time I checked, as leftists may have "explained" how it does not really say that by now--says:  "Thou Shalt Not Kill (Murder)".  Now I failed my Bible study assignment long ago for not memorizing the WHOLE Ten Commandments, rather than the Cliff Notes version on those posters--at least that is my present recollection.  But let's go with "Thou shalt not murder".  Does that mean a person opposes murder ONLY because of his or her religion  His or her religion may lead the person to that conclusion, but murder is a SECULAR CRIME.  Similarl, the "issues" on homosexuality are SECULUAR issues.  Remember, my understanding of the Christian religion (generally) is that ALL goodness, and guidance, comes ultimately from God.

That gets us nowehre, does it?  A politician should NEVER be able to get away with saying that he or she wants a law BECAUSE God wants it.  However, neither should CNN, and the other BIGOTS on the left, get away with saying that it MATTERS whether the politician believes that God inspires the politician's decisions.  That latter sentence is the MAINLINE Christian belief, to my best understanding.  But the political ARGUMENTS should be over POLICY, and not over religion.

You know what CNN, the AP, and the left are trying to do here, and so do I.  It IS the SPANISH INQUISITION.   What they are trying to do is BOOTSTRAP into allegations that Palin is "outside the maintream".  If they want to do that on POLICY, fine.  If they want to do it by attacking her religion, then it is NOT fine. It is EVIL.  It is one of the most virulent evils of history.

CNN should just go away.  I am confident it will.
