CNN, Campbell Brown, Kyra Phillips, Wolf Blitzer, Larry King, and Soledad O'Brien: "Finger" Po

It is time, once again, to announce where the spinning Flying, Fickle Finger of Fate pointed when it stopped this Saturday.  The "Finger" is my unauthorized reincarnation of the old "Laugh In" award for outstanding stupidity and/or evil in the previous week. The coveted/dreaded award is represented by a statuette of an INDEX finger pointing.

There was never any doubt this week, despite a late challenge from the "Anti-American, Despicable Associated Press" (always use official name in first reference), with Eric Gorshi's RELIGIOUSLY BIGOTED article intended to smear Sarah Palin and Pentecostals (all 20 plus million of them, who should PICKET the despicable, bigoted AP).  In reality, this award is SHARED by the despicable AP, because it (including Gorshi"s article) was PART of the orchestrated campaign of personal attacks against Sarah Palin. US Weeklyu, of course, shares the award as well because of its disgraceful cover and article.  The cover appeared to say that Palin was involved in lies, but he editor explained that the word "lies" next to Palin's picture applied to her CRITICS!. I don't blame you if you got whiplash with that one.  I did, when Megan Kelly figuratively opped off the head of the US Weekly editor and handed it to him.  There was that minor detail of teh article failing to mention that the DUI arrest of Palin's HUSBAND occurred when he was 22 years old, about the same age that the Democratic CANDIDATE (Obama, as stated in his book and speeches) was USIN GHARD DRUGS.  See the blog entry discussing US Weekly and Megan Kelly earlier in the week.  The entire rest of teh mainstream media also shares this award, and special mention should be made of the FAILING New York Times--doing much worse than the economy in general--which devoted multiple front page articles to the personal attacks on Sarah Palin.  MSNBC and NBC "News" have been hopeless this entrie election, and had no shame in the personal attacks on Palin.  As to the Washington Post, see the entry this week on Sally Quinn.  Thus, the entire mainstream media put out an unending stream of negative ads which constituted PERSONAL attacks--disguised as "news"--on Sarah Palin, despite the long tome media hand wringing aboutg how politics is not about "issues" any more, but just about negative ads and personal attacks.  However, the cncerted nature of the effort at CNN to single handedly push the envelope of the politics of personal destruction drew the "Finger" to point at CNN as if it were drawn by a magnet.

Thus, the "Finger" ended up pointing at CNN, Larry King, Campbell Brown, Soledad O'Brien, Wolf Blitzer, John Roberts, Mra Phillips, and the entire rest of CNN.  Soledad O'Brien rates extra mention because of her sympathetic confab with Sally Quinn about how mothers of five children (only three really minors) cannot devote enough attention to motherhood if the mother is going to adequately do a high profile job such as being Vice President.  Not only will my deceased grandmother (widowed mother of NINE children discussed below) make sure Soledad and Sally Quinn both go to Hell for that one, but Soledad O'Brien has FOUR MINOR CHILDREN/  Meanwhile, Soledad has a high pressure job, and so does her investment banker husband.  Talk about HYPOCRISY.  I am waiting to hear back from Child Protective Services about Soledad, since Soledad virtually admitted NEGLECTING her children on national television.  Campbell Brown is a tough competitor of Soledad in the hypocrisy sweepstates, although ALL of CNN is guilty of so much hypocrisy here that a little extra hardly matters.  Campbell Brown used her CNN show to attack Palin's FAMILY.  Meanwhile, Campbell's FATHER is a FELON, convicted of LYING TO THE FBI.  By CNN standards that makes Campbell not worthy of being a "journalist", since her family has convicted liars in it.  By my standards, of course, a whole network (CNN) who engages in this kind of personal attacks on a politician and her family is unworthy of existing.  Luckily, I don't think they will exist much longer.

What kinds of things did CNN do in its concentrated campaign of personal attacks against Sarah Palin?  Well, I have told you in ten or more entries over the past week.  You can go back and read them.  I will give a brief summary here.  Remember, these same "charges" were repeated time after time, day after day.

First, and this is important because it reveals how far both CNN and the Democratic Party have become the creatures of far left blogs, CNN sent a "hit team" to Alaska to dig up "dirt" on Sarah Palin.  The excuse for this was a spate of rumors on left wing blogs reminiscent of the absurdities of that kook "theory" that those planes did not bring down the World Trade Center.  This new kook lefitst theory was that Sarah Palin was NOT the mother of her Down's Syndrome baby, but that the mother was that 17 year old daughter.  Never mind that this kook theory devised by hating KOOKS makes no sense, CNN is now a creature of the left wing and committed to electing Obama.  So off to Alaska went Kyra Phillips and her CNN "hit team" (sort of like importing contract killers from out of town). (Just how STUPID was it to believe the baby was not Palin's?  Pretty damn stupid, and ANYBODY who took it seriously is exposed as in the Obama/leftist camp to the point that they don't even care about being rational.  You doubt me?  Aside for the total lack of evidence, consider that Sarah Palin is 44 years old.  WHAT category of women is MOST at risk for Down's Syndrome babies--although most of them have normal babies?  Right.  It is NOT 17 year olds.  It is WOMEN OVER 40, with the risk increasing with every year over 40.  Q.E.D.)

Well, the McCain campaign got wind that the mainstream media was about to try to USE this rumor to start afterr Palin, and/or heard about what the kook leftists (hard to tell from the non-kook leftists) were spreading on the internet.  Realizing that a mere denial of the rumors was unlikely to work (considering that they may already have been getting requests for DNA SAMPLES--can't make this stuff up--from Palin, even though it all had nothing to do with Palin's qualifications to be Vice President.  Therefore the McCain campaign released a statement that the 17 year old daughter was pregnant, which they figured would come out anyway, given the way the media was acting.

CNN and the left wing blogs were ecstatic I know Kyra Phillips of CNN was, because I saw the idiot, evil woman virtually jump up and down with glee on TWO separate CNN programs.  I did not mention Anderson Cooper in my roll of shame at CNN, even though I would guess he was part of the attacks on Sarah Palin at some point, and definitely used Kyra Phillips for that purpose on his program, because even he was obviously taken aback by Phillips' enthusiasm to "get" Sarah Palin.  Cooper actually apologized for DFENDING Palin as Phillips ecstatically went into orgasm over the (non-existent) "qeustions" sweeping Alaska about Palin's "parenting".   So help me, Cooper looked like a man standing witha group of people (all of CNN) in the middle of train tracks, with the headlight of an oncoming locomotive shinig on his face.   Or you might think of a deer in the headlights.  Cooper was hardly a hero.  He used his program, or let it be used,  as part of the personal attack campaign by CNN against Sarah Palin, but he was at least uncomfortable about it.

Evne though Obama immmediately put out a statement that attacking family is "off limits" in political campaigns in this country, CNN and the far left did not believe it.  They though that they could throw enough SMOKE to obscure that attacking a candidate over her 17 year old daughter was one of the most EVIL things t ever occur in an American political campaign.  Suddenly, they were advocates of the idea that EVERYTHING is fair game in a political campaign--citing historical examples that they had previously condemned.  But HOW was the Presidency of a daughter relevant?  CNN, and the left in general, did not care.  They thought that all they had to do was MAKE UP excuses that "sound good", and then YELL a lot until they forced Palin out.  We now know how DUMB these people are, as Palin handed them their heads and may have single handedly DESTROYED the mainstream media in this country.

Therefore, CNN, and the rest of the mainstream media, suddenly said that this pregnancy was "relevant" because it s showed "bad parenting" by Palin, and somehow showed "hypocrisy" (there all purpose word to suggest that Republicans, and their families, have to be PERFECT, because they purport to HAVE values while Democrats do NOT).  When those failed, CNN and the mainstream media tried to fall back on lack of "vetting" by McCain--even though McCain KNEW about the pregnancy and did not care (to his everlasting credit--a fact that has not been much mentioned).

These were alll just excuses to try to USE the irrelevant pregnancy of a 17 year old daughter to bring down the mother.   I especially like the "hypocrisy" one, which I HEARD made by the EVIL Wolf Blitzer.  How is it HYPOCRISY for a 17 year old daughter to fail to live up to a parent's standards?  Long before this happened, I have described the SHAME of the results of raising my two daughters.  I have opposed feminism leftist kind) al of l my life.  My daughters were raised in TEXAS.  They BOTH became feminists (basically of the leftist kind, although not the KOOKY and HYPOCRITICAL leftist kind).  Not only that, but they have become EASTERNERS (Boston and New York).  I can't honestly say I convinced them, as I am convinced, that people should not have sex outside of marriage.  My younger daughter got married SECRETLY at 18, even though I would not have opposed her marriage.  On the upside, they both graduated from major law schools, and have jobs at big time law firms.

Am I a HYPOCRITE because my daughters did not turn out how I wanted?  Well, Wolf, I hate to break it to you.  But you have something like the intelligence of a vegetable if you think that makes me a HYPOCRITE.  Come to think of it, I would think ALL of CNN has the intelligence of a vegetable, COMBINED, if I thought they really believed all of this stuff.  I think it is obvious that it is not lack of intelligence that led to this EVIL campaign of personal attacks against Palin.  Rather, it is DISHONESTY in pursuit of an AGENDA.

Nope.  I don't even think how my daughters turned out reflects that much on my PARENTING.  In today's world, children are exposed to an awful lot.  They receive input on SEX everywhere. The idea that any child does not know about birth control is stupid.  But it is the sheer BOMBARDMENT with SEX that is important. My daughters were further bombarded with LEFTISM from the time they were very young.  Maybe a GREAT paret could have overcome all of that.  A normal parent has a tough time.  What is FUNNY, of course, is that I have become closer to my daughters on FEMINISM than I am to CNN and the kook left, without changing my position at all.  This has caused an identity crisis for me.  It is hard to me to accept that I am a greater feminist than ALL of CNN; than ALL of the mainstream media: and than MOST of the left.  However, I have no choice but to accept that disturbing conclusion.

Now I have used the word "evil" above to describe CNN and its people, and I did so even more during the entries over the past week (often in the title of the entry).  How dare I call them "evil".  Well, it is because they ARE, at least with regard to this particular subject (as Thomas Jefferson was with regard to slavery).  But you don't have to listen to me.  All you have to do is listen to OBAMA.  Has not Obama, in effect, called it EVIL to go after a person's family this way, or to USE a person's family to try to get at the candidate hersefl or himself.  Of course Obama has said that.  He said it specifically with regard to Palin (although perhaps knowing his friends, including friends in the media, would go after her anyway).  Obama has said so ELOQUENTLY in other contexts.  He has called this an unacceptable thing that we can't have in American politics.  The only thing he has left out is the WORD "evil", because leftist Democrats shy away from the word.

Does it BOTHER CNN, and the rest of the mainstream media, that BOTH Obama and myself regard them as EVIL in this matter?  It doesn't seem so, but it should.  They are committing suicide.

End of Part I.  In part II I will explain how not only the "Finger" of Fate has pointed at CNN, but also the spirit of my grandmother.  They should worry even more about that, than about having committed suicide.  That is because I am convinced that my grandmother will make sure I see them all in Hell, where my grandmother will make sure they go--assuming Hell exists.
