Rick Perry and Texas: Media Negative Ads (Boycott AT&T and Yahoo

As I have said before, the main source of negative ads in American politics is not the candidates. It is the mainstream media (in a Presidential race, or a race to which the national media is paying attention, as they cannot obviously intervene in al races). Look at this AP/Yahoo/AT&T headline from earlier today:

"How Rick Perry aggresively pursued federal aid he decries"

That is pure propaganda from the despicable AP. My futile Sodom and Gomorrah search for an honest, competent AP reporter goes on. I again remind you to stay away from aP facilities, lest lyou turn into a pillar of sal. How do I now the above is a negative ad? Firt, it is obvius, and obvious propaganda rather than "news".

But the reason I am positive is that I live in Texas. I experienced the vicius primary between Kay Bailye Hutchinson (aided by the Bush machine?--so I heard today although it ws not something that came to my attention during the campaign here in El Paso, on the edge of Texas). Pro-Hutchinson forces ran a lot of negative ads (as, of course, did por-Perry forces, more effectively). One of the prominent neative ads was that very headline shown above, and featured on my AT&T/Yahoo internet home page (which I keep just for this purpose, while advocating that you boyctott both AT&T and Yahoo). The ad did not work for Senator Hutchinson, and it will not work for the negative ad merchanges of the left--even though tkhey get the negative ad put out as "news" instead of the negative ad it really is (deceptive as Hell, except almost everone now realizes that the mainstream media is an advocacy group for Democratic/leftist candidates).

That is wrong with the quoted headline? Consider what it is REALLY intended to convey--not facts, but a political message. The intended propaganda message is that Rick Perry is a HYPOCRITE because he sought federal aid when he opposed the "stimulus". Problem: This, unlike the unprecedented hypocrisy of the mainstream media, is NOT "hy;pocrisy". What does one have to do with the other? Perry opposed the "stimulus" bill on policy grounds. However, once it became law, and other federal slush funds became law, look at the position of Perry . Hesis governor of Texas. Is he not OBLIGATED to try to make sure that Texas got all of the o=money he could get for Texas? Did he not have a duty to Texas taxpayers to do that? Would it not be insane for Texas to have to bail out California, wihout attempting to get any of the money returned to Texas? These are all rhetorical questions. It is like me collecting Social Security. I paid the money in--payiing more than my fair share of taxes over the years. I believe Social Security is a flawed system, but why should I simply tthrow away my money without getting even the benefit of the flawed system I paid into (when, unlike Warren Buffett, I need the money to keep my retirement plan solvent)?

No, it is absurd to suggest that Rick Perry doing his JOB as governor of Texas is somehhow hypocrisy, or discredits hi position that the Federal Government should not provide such bailouts/ Note how hypocritical the AP is. Not only do they falsely label this as news, they did ot comment on the greater hypcrisy of Warren Buffett taking advantage of tax "breaks", and then saying he shold be MADE to pay more taxes (when eh could voluntarily have paid the extra "taxes" he says are "fair"). For Perry to say that he simply didnot want any money for Texa would, unlike Buffett, have only affected Perry . It would have hurt the taxpayers of Texas that Perry believes are paying too much FERAL taxes (Texas, of course, not having an income tax).

Expect more and more media negative ads on Perry, as the left's propaganda campaign against Perry heats up. The mainstream media and the left think that these media negative ads are more effective than hones policial ads (designated as susch, in this meaning of "honesty). Even though people have pretty much caught on to the partisan nature of these "news" stories, I am afraid the left is still right that too many people give SOME credence to these media negative ads. Note the further hypocrisy of the media. They are UNINTERESTED in producing the facts necessary to debate the real issues upon which we should be choosing President. Instead, all they are intrested in doing is DESTROYING Rick Perry (or any other conservatative), withoiut having to engage the real issues and qualifications upon which Perry is rynning. That is the lpurpose of a political negative ad (of the classically unfair kind), and that is exactly the purpose of this mainstream media propaganda against Rick Perry.

P.S. No proofreading or spell checking (bad eyesight).
