Billions for Defense; Not One Cent for Tribute--To Muslims or Anyone Else

My headline USED to be the attitude of the United States of America. Here is a current headline linked to a banner headline on Drudge (drudgereport.com):

"Muslim Brotherhood Warns U.S. That Aid Cut May Affect Peace Treaty with Israel."

So Muslim extremists now believe that they can EXTORT the Untied States of Aemricaa for MONEY, even as we don't have the money? The only possible response to that is the response given at Bastognue (sp.?), in the Battle of the Bulge: "Nuts" (response to demand for surrender, as Patton's Third Army raced to the rescue of a surronded American garrison). Are we still made of this stuff? Our President is not. I hope the country still has the same stuff, buried as it sometimes seems to be.

My headline is misleading in one way, and only Ron Paul would take it literally. We SHOULD be actively promoting our interestes in the world, but that does NOT mean giving in to threats and extortio, whether by Somali pirates or other Muslim extremists. Once, we WIPED out the Barbary pirates. Now we hail the resuce of a single woman as some kindof major "victory" over hostage takers. No, this is not to disparage the valor of our people who conduct such rescues. But when do we WIPE OUT the Somali pirates, and really take it to Muslim extremists who would try to take hostages and otherwise extort us?

Then there is IRAN, and its attempt to get into ta position of NUCLEAR BLACKMAIL.

You should be able to see why I am such a pessimist.
