Conservatism in the Wilderness

Two weeks or more ago I noted that conservatives in this country are being exiled into the Wilderness, like the Jews in Egypt so long ago.

This morning, I heard Laura Ingram use the phrase "conservatism in the wilderness".

It was ME that first suggested the concept of Rush Limbaugh's "Operation Chaos", before Limbaugh ever suggested it.  This is the concept that conservatives needed to support Hillary Clinton in the nomination, to kep the Democratic fight going (although I went further, and suggested that the ultimate sttrategy would be to actuall ELECT Hillary Clinton, as the ultimate sabotage of the Democratic Party; nevertheless I accuraely stated that the best strategy to DEFEAT the Democrats was also to support Hillary Clinton, because otherwise Barack Obama was about to wrap up the nomination).

It was ME who suggested that Rush Limbaugh was BETRYAING conservatives by failing to take a definite position in the REPUBLICAN nomination.  Not too long after that, but still TOO LATE, Limbaugh came out strongly against McCain, and eventually (too late again) for Romney.

Now it may be that all of this is coincidence.  It may be that the ideea of "conservatives in the Wilderness" was being talked about well before I stated it in this blog.  It is pretty obvious, after all.

Then again, it may be that it is ME that is influencing conservative thought in this country.  At the very least, reading this blog will put you ahead of the curve as to IDEAS that you may later hear on Limbaugh or elsewhere.
