Leftists Don't Believe in Democracy

In addition to my continuing thesis that leftsts don't believe in free speech (excpt for leftists), I have repeatedly propounded the companion (equally correct) thesis that leftists do not believe in democracy.

That was again illustrated today as the Democratic California Supreme Court, by a 4 to 3 margin, IMPOSED homosexual marriage on the state of California.  In other words, there was a "democratic" vote of SEVEN JUDGES, and that vote overturned the laws enacted by representatives of MILLIONS of Californians.  Yes, the Californis Supreme Court said it was unconstitutional to deny homosexuals marriage, despite the existence of a "domestic partnership" law in California.

Q.E.D.  Leftists do NOT believe in democracy.  In fact, it was on this very issue that it was shown that leftists do NOT believe in free speech.  See the previous entry on the University of Toledo suspending an employee (who was an administrative employee named Crystal Dixon rather than a professor as I iincorrectly indicated in the original entry) for an o-ed piece in a Toledo newspater asserting that "homosexual rights" are NOT the same kind of "civil rights" issue as racial discrimination.

Do leftists belive in democracy on abortion?  Nope.  Do leftists believe in democracy on the death penalty?  Nope.  Do leftists believe in democracy on "global warmng" legislation?  Nope (they want it imposed by ADMINISTRATIVE REGULATION nudged by COURT action).

Problem:  Do Republicans have a really strong position on the California/Massachusetts issue of imposing a leftist agenda of homosexual activism by judicial, dictatorial fiat?  NOPE.  They don't.  McCain himself has consistently refused to support a marriage amendment to the U.S. Constitution, even though the handwriting for the California decision was already on the wall.   McCain is NOT going to lead the charge against the California decision.  He may say he does not approve of it.  But he is NOT going to lead the charge.  All you are going to hear is a vague promis that McCain will not appoint judges like this. But neither will he crusade against decisions like this.   The whole Republican Party is trending in that direction.  WHAT DO REPUBLICANS STAND FOR ANYMORE?  Not much.  See the next entry.
