There was never any doubt this week, although Barack Obama made a truly astonishing late run at the award. See yesterday's two entries.
Yes, you have to give dishonorable mention to a man (Barack Obama) who answers a person worrying about illegal immigration and the trend toward such illegal immigrants (and probably some legal ones) not speaking English the way Obama did. "They'll learn" was Obama's only response to immigrants not speaking English, as he attempted to deflect the question by suggesting that what American parents should REALLY be worrying abut is "making sure" their children learn to speak Spanish.
If the anti-American, despicable Associated Press, and the rest of the mainstream media, were not mere PROPAGANDA outlets for Obama, statements like that would have already blown Obama out of the water. The man is not qualified to be President, and is DANGEROUS. He proves it every day. That does not stop the Associated Press and AOL from ruinning yet another propaganda piece this morning about how much Obama enjoys "contrasts" with an evil (my editorial comment, but much more accurate than the AP selected Obama propaganda "contrasts") Republican like McCain, instead of having to deal with another AP approved Democrat/leftists like Hillary Clinton. Needless to saly, the "contrasts" mentioned are not things like the contrast between McCain's military record and Obama's, or the contrast between McCain's experience and Obama's (including experience/record of "reaching across the aisle"). Nope. You get standard Obama campaign propaganda, as befits a political action committee (the AP) operating on behalf of Obama.
Obama justly deserves dishonrable mention, and "the Finger" would have pointed at him most other weeks for implying that we are at fault for not being able and willing to talk Spanish to illegal immigrants--the illegal immigration and pressure on our culture and educational system worth no more than an Obama wave of the hand in dismissal ("They'll learn English"). "The Finger",. of course, is my reincarnation (unauthorized) of the old "Laugh In" award for conspicuous stupidity during a week, represented by a statuette of an INDEX FINGER.
The "anti-American, despicable Associated Press", and AOL, never had any real competiton this week, despite Obama's valiant late effort. See last Sunday's entry repeated below. This is what EARNED the "anti-American, despicable Associated Press" its OFFICIAL name, which will forever after be used in this blog.
It is not just that the AP (shorthand--official name above will be shortened for brevity from here on) treated as current "news" the alleged machine gunning of 3500 North Korean prisoners by SOUTH KOREANS during the KOREAN WAR (more than 50 years ago).
If you remember your history, North Korea INVADED South Korea, and the U.N. sent in an American led military force to repel the aggression commanded by Douglas MacArthur--Harry Truman being the President). This was basically the Cold War, with North Korea acting as a proxy for the Soviet Union. North Korean troops innitially almost overran the South Korean and U.N./U.S. troops. in one of the great military operations of all time, MacAruthur pulled off a surprise landing at Incon and turned the tide. Later, of curse, the Chinese flooded across the border as MacArthur was about to complete his victory in Korea, resulting in the eventual standoff still in existence.
Well, as the North Koreans were advancing, they were overwhelming South Korean and U.N. forces. The fifty year old "news" from the AP (which did this story TWICE) wqas that South Koreans machine gunned 3500 North Korean/enemy prisoners because they were retreating and could no longer hold them prisoner.
Now that is hardly the worst thing that has ever happened in WAR. Our "ally" in World War II did MUCH worse things. The Red Army was NTORIOUS for atrocities. Stalin, of course, was more than notorious for atrocities. He is reported to have killed some 20 million of his own people--fullay as bad an individual as Hitler (even it the LEFT found excuses for him up to his very death).
Did we KNOW about atrociites Stalin and the Red Army were conducting? Sure we did (if not of the complete horror that Stalin would do after the war). In some sense, did we give "permission" to Stalin to do really bad things? Sure we did. Stalin himself, and his leftist apologists (as well as critics on the right) suggested that FDR gave Stalin the RIGHT to oppress Eastern Europe at Yalta. Our military people who "advised", or otherwise acted as our connection with the Red Army, had to have known about some pretty bad things the Russians were doing as they fought the Germans.
However, World War II was a war for civilization itself. Stalin and the Red Army were are allies. We were not going to let Hitler win World War II just to make Stalin and the Red Army behave. Now we should have done more AFTER World War II, but that is another story about Patton being right ant the war weary establishment being wrong.
This brings us to the Associated Press, and how it EARNGED its official name of "anti-American, despicable Associated Press". First, the AP came up with this OLD story about an alleged massacre by South Koreans of 3500 prisoners. Who cares now? Historians, maybe. Maybe, if you are writing a bok about the Korean War, the incident is something you might mention (in context and perspective). Americans were not involved int he massacre (even if they had been, shuld it be current, headline "news"?--but we weren't). Even the AP knows that no one cares now about a long ago machine gunning of prisoners by South Koreans. That is where the ANTI-AMERICAN comes in.
The anti-American, despicable AP chose to use the ANTI-AMERICAN angle to make this an "AP IMPACT" story featured on AOL. Since AOL is just as anti-American, the story (a very minor footnote to hisotory) became a HEADLINE AP/AOL story under the headline: "U.S. Korean Ally Committed Massacre" (or words to that effect). Look at how many times that headline could have been used with regard to the SOVIET UNION, even during World War II itself!!!! There is just no excuse for that kind of anti-American propaganda. So what (50 years later). This is NOT current "news"--espcially the attempt to BLAME the U.S. 50 years after the fact.
It gets worse (see repeated entry below). The AP was evidently not satisfied that anyone paid any attention to its first non-story. DUH!!!! It wasn't a story. So the AP did it AGAIN, with a more direct attempt to BLAME the U.S. (again, 50 years after the fact). Thus, we get an AP IMPACT (ALWASY means "anti-American) story HEADLINED on AOL that an American officer gave "permission" for this massacre to happen.
If you have followed this, you should now be totally outraged. There is NO purpose to slanting a fifty year old story in this direction except for ANTI-AMERICAN propaganda. "Permission" is a word of art. Did we give "permission" to the Soviet Union to CRUSHHungary and Czechoslovakia when then revolted? Did we give "permission" to the Soviet Uniton to oppress Eastern Europe in the first place? Did we give permission for all of the acts of the Red Army in World War II? So an American colonel "knew" about the planned "massacre" of 3500 North Koren/enemy prisoners that no one knew what to do with. So he told the South Koreans that the U.S. would not "stand in the way". SO WHAT. What makes this CURRENT NEWS, 50 years after the fact.
IF this story were current "news" at all, which the AP clearly knew it was NOT because of the "spin" they put on it, it would only be so in the context of a review of the Korean War. A HEADLINE balming the U.S, or attempting to blame the U.S., for a 50 year old massacre by OTHERS is beyond ridiculous. It is into the realm of evil, and that is what I so labeled it. That is the reason for the OFFICIAL name of the AP from now on. This was nothing more than anti-American propaganda, for no legitimate purpose.
Nope. The Associated Press more than deserves its OFFICIAL name: "Anti-American, Despicable Associated Press". As its partner in crime :(again), AOL more than deserves to share in "the Finger".
Award ceremony:
Again, this is a VIRTUAL ceremoney, but only in the imagination. There is no video. There is no audio. You have to use your imagination. That is why I suggest imagining Dick Martin presenting "the Finger" on the original "Laugh In", as a visual aid (Dick Martin not being involved with this blog or this award). If you have ever seen Dick Martin give "the Finger" on "Laugh In", that is the way I want you to imagine this award to the AP and AOL.
Therefore, imagine Dick Martin thrusting "the Finger" at the camera and saying: "Associated Press, and AOL, this is for YOU; you DESERVE it. You did it TWICE, and therefore have proven ourself anti-American in the grand tradition of Benedict Arnold, Reverend Wright, Tokyo Rose, and the present, insane leader of North Korea."
Here is the description, with relevant quote, of the AP/AOL story last Suday which EARNED this award, along with my reaction then:
AP IMPACT: Thousands killed by US's Korean ally
Read my posts (similar to entry above). We are where we always were--NOT blaming th U.S. for every evil inthe world, but instead recognizing the PRIMARY sources of evil in the woord. Where are the LEFTISTS now? They are NOT leading the fight against the real evils in the world, and never have (since World War II). WHERE are the leftists today:
I will tell you: Still blaming the U.S.A. for every evil in the world, and EXCUSING the real evil doers in the world. They are also working for AOL and the ani-American Associated Press, putting out disgraceful anti-American propaganda.
Here is another AOL comment, and my response:
"This was a true genocide that needs to be investigated by the UN under whose auspicies the defense of the South Korean "democracy" was carried out in 1950-1953."
Uh-huh. At least he above post gets the JURISDICTION right. The truly despicable AP, and AOL, do NOT (in their headline--the single slupidest, anti-American PROPAGANDA headline I have ever seen). South Korea was NOt, in fact, our "ally" in the Korean War. The UNITED NATIONS intevened to stop an act of naked aggression by North Korea.
What does the above person suggest? That Harry Truman be convicted POSTHUMOUSLY as a WAR CRIMINAL? That the present, democratic government of South Korea by deposed and replaced with a STALINIST government like that of North Korea (universally recognized as one of the worst governments in the world today)? Talk about "genocide". North Korea has been committing murder on a mini-Stalin like scale for some 60 years.
Here is a final comment from AOL under this story, with only a brief comment by me:
"So much for blaming Iraq for the WMD which was all a lie. The US govt. should be brought before the UN Human Rights and seriously questioned. This is why other nations no longer respect the US. Do you blame them? NO!! What a shameful government. Always blaming other nations but can't see the wicked of their way!"
Q.E.D. To people like this, and those responsible for this AOL/AP story, Saddam Hussein was a GOOD GUY (better than the U.S.). As stated, to theese people, the U.S. is the main source of evil in the world
I feel strongly about this one, and therefore am repeating below the earlier versions of the main entry above, which are in the form they were posted on AOL (reverse order). Even though these primarily duplicate what I say above, I am including them for the sake of completeness:

Maybe the despicable AOL and the despicable AOL would like to do a story on the peole the LEFTIST Stalin murdered, or that the LEFTIST North Koreans have murdered (during the Korean War and afterward). Then there are the LEFIST Red Chineese, who MURDERED uncounted MILLIONS of people during the infamous "cultural revolution" of that famous LEFTIST, MAO.
Ooops!!! I forgot. The AP, and AOL, only do anti-AMIERICAN propaganda, becaue they believe (along with Reverend Wright--and Barack Obama?) that the U.S A. is the primary source of evil in the world.
