AOL/AP Obsession with Zimbabwe, While Ignoring Mexico and Its U.S. Border

"Zimbabwe Headed to Presidential Runoff".  I could not possibly make this stuff up.  That is the AP/AOL headline of a LONG, featured story today, and the Associated Press and AOL pay more attention to Zimabwe's electon than alomost any other single "news" event over the past week.  Here is my reaction, posted under the AOL/AP story:

I have just about had it with this inexpllicable AOL/AP obsession with ZIMBABWE.  This is the third FEATURED in the last week on Zimbabwe (AOL should have a "back of the newspaper" section for single paragraphs on things like this).

Mieanwhile, AOL and the despicable Associated Press are ignoring much more important stories from the MEXICAN BORDER.   See my MULTIPLE entries under the heading of "Mexico:  A Failed Country", in my AOL blog, "The Maverick Conservative".  There is a DRUG WAR going on along the Mexican border, and especially in Juarez (across the Rio Grande from where I am typing this).  At least 200 people have been MURDERED in Juarez since the first of the year.  Backyard graveyards have been discovered.  A POLICE CHIEF from a nearby Mexican border town asked for ASYLUM in the U.S.  The situation in Mexico, along the border with the United States, is out of control, and AOL does three featured stories on ZIMBABWE.  I am sorry.  That is pathetic.

Editor's note:  As stated in the above post, see the recent archives of this blog for several entries in the ongoing war between DRUG CARTELS going on in Mexico, along the U.S. border--as Mexico, at least along its border with the U.S., spins totally out of control.  Several of the blog entries are under the title:  "Mexico, A Failed Country."
