Food: Environmentalist War on Humanity Continued

I was channel surfing last night, and saw some of the "joint committee" questioning of the Federal Reserve chief by Congress people.

What struck me was the emphasis by Demorats on the rise in the price of FOOD.  What was missing, of course, was what CONGRESS has done to increase the price of food.  See yesterday's entry about the war of environmentalists on humanity.

FORCING the use of BIOFUELS is a MAJOR FACTOR in the rise in the price of food.  DEMOCRATS (along with wimpy Republicans, including farm state Republicans faovring it for the very reason of increasing farm profits and prices) like Al Gore are responsible for this push for biofuels.  As I correctly stated, this is part of the envrionmentalists war on humanity, and this worldwide push for biofuels carries the potential of rasing food prices around the world--taking food out of the mouth of the poor.   Yet, Democrats in Congress--as well as the mainstream media--seem to show no awareness whatever of this major factor in the rise in the price of food.  It is like they are living in a complete vacuum, or cocoon, where only their own thoughts exist.

What was the other obsessiona of Democrats (besides housing)?  You got it.  Oil and gasoline prices.  Notice the commonn denominator here.  What is one of the major factors in our high oil prices?  Yes, this is yet another part of the environmentalists war on humnannity.  Congress, and especially Democrats, are not letting oil companies drill in Anwar.  Environmentalists are fighting drilling almost ANYWHERE--certainly offshore, where drilling is routinely prohibited.  Again, there is just never any acknowledgement of this envioronmentalist/Democrat complicity in the rise in the price of oil.   In fact, I will go further (accurately further):  Environmentalists do not WANT a lower price of oil, because they correctly realize that will merely increase the use of oil and gasoline.  That is why there is at least one liberal Democrat bill in Congress for a 50 cent RISE in the tax on a gallon of gasoline (the old Al Gore idea.

The hypocrisy of crying crocodile tears over the rising price of food and gasoline, when THEIR policies have been a major contributor to that, is just mind boggling.  Leftist Democrats and environmentalists (who sometimes, laughably, cry the same crocodile tears) should be ashamed, except that they have no shame.
