Mexico: A Failed Country

I live (where I am typing this) less than 10 miles from one of the most dangerous cities in the WORLD:  Juarez, Mexico.

Juarez FINALLY made the national news yesterday, despite the virtual news blackout as to negative news about Mexico.  Oh, there was some minor national coverage, a while ago, about the HUNDREDS of murdered women found in a "burial" dumping ground in Juarez.  However, there was little follow up as to the failure to ever SOLVE those murders.

As reflected in previous entries, it is not just women who are being murdered in Juarez.  More than 200 people have died in Jurarez since the first of the year.  Three people were found in garbage bags in the last day or so.  I previously reported to you about the POLICE CHIEF of anoter border town who sough ASYLUM (a week or two ago) in the United States because of drug violence.  There is a full scale drug war, between drug cartels, that has been going on for some time in Juarez (where the police are generally corrupt, as is most of the country).  Again, I have reported all of this in previous entries (including the recent discovery of another "burial ground" for multiple murder victims (this time victims of this drug war) found in the backyard of a drug cartel house.

This finally made Fox News yesterday (not all of it, but the drug cartel war that has resulted in this more than 200 murders since the beginning of the year).  I still have seen NOTHIGN from the despicable Associated Press--at least that they thought worth featuring on AOL.  Does that surprise you? It shouldn't.  As I said, the mainstream media is virtually suppressing the overwhelming evidence out there that Mexico is a CORRUPT, FAILED COUNTRY (which obviously has a bearing on illegal immigration, and the need for border control--the very reason this news is being ignored by the mainstream media).

As I have previously stated, I have lived in this general area since 1960 (in El Paso itself since 1969--with breaks for army assignment elsewhere and law school.  The situation in Mexico is now WORSE than I have ever seen it--certainly along the border.

You would think that this would be fairly important news, unless you understand the media's agenda here.

P.S.  Amazingly enough, El Paso--right across the Rio Grande from Juarez--does NOT have a huge crime problem, or that bad a murder rate.  This shows, I think, that it is the COUNTRY of Mexico which has failied, and the COUNTRY of the U.S.A. that has a superior system--albeit one endangered by illegal immigration.  The people in El Paso are primarily of Mexican heritage--not much different from the people in our sister city of Juarez.  It is not the people that are different.  But one city is in Mexico, and the other city is in the United States.  That makes ALL of the difference.  As stated:  Mexico is a FAILED country.  We cannot AFFORD an "open border" with that failed country.  WE cannot solve the (increasing) problems of Mexico.

P.S. 2:  Do you doubt me about how despicable the Assoicated Press, and AOL, are?   (You FOOL you!!!!!!).  Consider this:  A major AP/AOL story right now is on political developments in ZIMBABWE.   Is there ANY objective person who could think that political news out of ZIMBABWE is more important than the above news out of Mexico, and specifically along the AMERICAN border with Mexico (albeit on the Mexican side).  Don' be silly.  Yet, this is the SECOND major story, in the past few days, on ZIMBABWE featured on AOL--while truly worrying news out of Mexico has been ignored for months--even years--as the news has gotten WORSE.  Nope.  The AP, and AOL, are DESPICABLE--along with the rest of the mainstream media.  Q.E.D.  With the Associated Press, and AOL, all you get is "news" with an agenda.
