Ted Turner, Associated Press, and Dallas: WINNERS, Flying, Ficke Finger of Fate

Yes, it is time for this blog's weekly reincarnation of Rowan and Martin's "Laugh In" "Flying, Fickle Finger of Fate" award ("the Finger"), for conspicious stupidity and/or evil during the week.  Again, there were too many notable contenders for the judges to fully weed them all out, and this resulted in another three way tie for the coveted/dreaded award.

Even so, worthy winning performances in some other week had to be overlooked.  For example, Al Gore certainly deserved the award, in most other weeks, for caling doubters of "man-made global warming" "flat earthers", in a week which saw a U.N. CLIMATIC EXPERT say that the Earth has NOT warmed since 1998, and will be COOLER this year ("blaming" La Nina currents in the Pacific, as if currents were not also a known cause of the Arctic melting that "global warming" fanatics, and the mainstream media, have been overhyping).

Then there is Barack Obama, with his old style, "dirty politics" Big Lie about the hundred yaear war John McCain has NOT been advocating in Iraq--too much even for the Columbia School of Juornalism. (see earlier entry this week)

Worthy winners as they would have been, the above would have been, they were not even seriously in the running against this week's three co-winners.

Ted Turner WOULD have won for his outrageous remark saying that "global wrming" (yes the same Al Gore thing that has STOPPED) was going to reduce us to CANNABALISM in 30 or 40 years (the survivors of us, that is, after most of humanity has DIED).  However, Ted Turner was NOT adjudged a co-winner of "the Finger" for that worthy effort,  Instead, the judges did not consider that nearly as bad as the WINNING effort by Turner in the same interview.

See th;is past week's entry for full details.  Ted Turner won for his incredible "coming out of the closet" as an AL QAEDA PATRIOT--calling the freedom fighters in Iraq killing American soldiers "patriots",  fighting an evil occupation.  This, of course, is in the great tradition of Turner's former wife, Jane Fonda, going to Hanoi and cheering on the North Vienamese soldiers killing Americans (posing appovingly at a NVA anti-aircraft installation).  I think John McCain was a prisoner of war at the time.  Now you might say that Ted Turner DESERVES to win this week's award outright.  And that is a valid criticims.  However, the judges just felt they could not ignore the co-winners.  Therefore, they added Ted Turner to anaother category--to chich the other winners did not quite qualify.  That is the category of nominess for the YEARLY "Flying, Fickle Finger of Fate" award.  The judges noted that Turner is now the early favorite for that award.

One co-winner was a weekly nominee, the truly despicable Associated Press (with both AOL and the National Coalition for Health being noted as sharing the Associated Press award.  See the entr this week about a criminal "blood donor" scam in India, where people were lured with high salaries to be held captive for purposes of draining their blood for PROFIT (blood being sold on what is evidently a very lucrative black? market).

The truly despicable Associated Press, however, did not treat the human monsters "exposed" in this story as worthy of a straigth, factual expose'.  Nope.  Remember, the Associated Press, and AOL, are DESPICABLE--incapable of not turning a story like this into agenda driven PROPAGANDA.

First, the Assoicated Press did NOT simply rely on facts.  Instead, it focused the story on a "victime" who was "lured" by the advertised high salary for an undknown job.  His "explanation" for falling into this evil scheme was that he thought he was going to be hired to be a DRUG SMUGGLER.  He KNEW, you see, that the "job" had to be illegal, bedause the money offered was so high.   This was the "sympathetic" "victim" the despicable AP chose to feature, instead of doing a "dry" story involving mere dull facts.

As with Ted Turner, however, that worthy effort did NOT win the despicable AP "the Finger".  The Finger was award to the despicable AP because of the single worst segue in the hhistory of "journalism" (propaganda).  The Associated Press segued from a supposed expose of human depravity into a stupid, propaganda driven indictment of the U.S. HEALTH CARE SYSTEM (no one could make this up; as I have said, the Assoicated Press is an EVIL organization, which thinks nothing of trivializing a serilus story this way). (Editor's note:  ANYONE who works for the Associated Press, in any capacity, should QUIT--I have as much contempt for anyone who stays as I have for Barack Obama staying in Reverend Wright's church.)

Thus, the despicable Assoicated Press lurhced into propaganda against the U.S. health care system by quoting the National Coalition for Health for a phantom (unprovable), irrelevant statistic:  the assertion that 500,000 Americans seek Asian health care because it is cheaper than American health care, sicne they could supposedly not afford health insurance in the U.S.  (but could afford to seek out privately paid for health care in Asia).   This has to be the STUPIDIEST argument for "universal, Federal health care" I have ever heard, which is why the National Coalition for Health SHARES "the Finter" with the Associated Press.   Yes, the Associated Press DID drag in the alleged 45 million without helath insurance in the United States (as usual, without mentioning how many of those people CHOSE not to be insured as a rational chocie).  The "point", you see, was that these 45 million were so desperate, when they could not afford health care, that 500,000 of them go to Asia to be exposed to blood sold by these human evil human traffickers in blood and human lives.  You say that is RIDICULOUS?  Of course it is.  Why do you think the judges felt COMPELLED to make the truly despicable Associated Press a co-winner of "the Finger" this week.  (See this week's earlier entry about this despicable example of the lengths that the truly despicable AP will go to drag propaganda for its agenda into what should be a valuable news story about an evil operation in India.)

Dallas, Texas.  How could the judges ignore Dallas?  This week had TWO stories out of Dallas.  One was about a TWELVE YEAR OLD STRIPPER in a Dallas strip club.  The secod was about a 13 year old HOOKER operating out of a Dallas BAR, and trying to recruit other 13 year olds.  Again, that was NOT enough to gain Dallas "the Finger".  It turnas out that Dallas city ordinances were NOT, according to city officials, enough to SHUT DOWN the "businesses" involved immediately.  For THAT, Dallas, Texas (my state, I am ashamed to say) DESERVES to be a co-winner of "the Finger" this week.

Award ceremony:  Imagine here Dick Martin presenting the coveted "Finger" (a stautette of an INDEX finger) to the deserving winners:   Ted Turner, The Associated Press (incorporating AOL and the National Coalition for Health), and Dallas, this award is for YOU; you DESERVE it.

Editor's note:  The judges wanted to publicly deplore a disturbing trend that is getting WORSE.  There are more worthy contenders each week, meaning that there are too many worthy "winnters" for thejudges to narrow the field to one--or a maximum of two).  The judges are distressed by this.  They REFUSE to have more than three co-winnes in a week, but their job is really becoming difficult.  Thus, they make this announcement:  PLEASE try to withhold your stupidity for a subsequent week, when you notice another worthy winner has already appeared in a week (you can consult this blog for that information).  Above all:  Someone needs to SHUT DOWN the Associated Press, and probably the enire mainstream media.  Enough is enough.  If they had any shame, they would voluntraily cease operation.    Under present circumstances, the judges see no way to avoid multple ties in the future.
