Roger Clemens: Sex Remains Hazardous To Your Health

Sex (of the promiscous, non-marital kind) is objectively hazarodous to your physical and mental health, and to the health of society at large .  Comparing statistics from the "repressive" 1950's to today on such tings as sexually transmitted diseases and illegitimate birth leaves no doubt about the truth of this statement.

But I have noted that recent political and celebrity scandals may do what statistics and logic have failed to do:   spread the idea to the public that sex really is hazardous to your health.  Thus, I have had several enries about these incidents involving Spitzer and Patterson and others noting that the message has to get through to politicians, potential politicians and others (Hannah Montana, for example), no matter how dense they aree,  that sex (non-marital kind) really is hazardous to your health (even if we are talking about political health or career health).  If these people suddenly get "moral", if ony because of self-ingerest, how long before society in general follows?

Now we have the truly amazing case of Roger Clemens, not to mention the attorney general of Ohio, to again prove my point.

Now a lot of the stupp involving Roger Clemens is media speculatiion, rumor and gossip--which is now "journalism's" stock in trade, as distinguished from facts.  Still, I can't resist discussing it, because (whether the gossip is true or not) the rumors and goossip so illustrate my point.

You know all about Roger Clemens being accused of steroid use, and his rather unconvincing denials (and SUPIDITY is insisting on testifying before Congress, under oath, in a farce that also tells you all you need to know about why all present members of Congress should be thrown out of office).  Does sex have anything to do with this?  Nope (despite the back flips in the media to try to suggest that one has something to do with the other).

What is the purpose of this publicity about the gossip that Roger Clemens had an affair with country music star Mindy McCready, saarting when she was 15?  You know the purpose (besides ratings).  It is the same purpose the media had with regard to Dr. Sam Sheppard (real life inspiration for "The Fugitive") so many years ago, when the media convicted him of murder because he was an ADULTERER (the kind of thing the media does every day in modern America).  The United States Supreme Court eventually reversed Sheppard's conviction because of the outrageous, EVIL, way the media distorted the criminal case (EVIL that I have talked about before in this blog, and will talk about again, as the media is totally out of control).   The idea is to suggest that Roger Clemens is a scumbag (probably true), and therefore can't be believed on his steroid "defense", or anything else (as the media suggested Shepp0ard could not be believed on the murder, because he was such a scumbag).  This idea that the media has a RIGHT to DESTORY someone with rumor, gossip, and innuendo--often from anonymous ssources, as I have discussed with football coach Mike Price and the disgraceful Sports Illustrated--is indefensible.  It is one of the many reasons that I consider today's media beoyond contempt.

However, as stated, the rumor and gossip about Clemens shows again how sex is hazarodous to the health of even celebrities (despite the publicity Paris Hilton got out of her sex video).  Clemens has now said he is "sorry" for unspecified "mistakes".  I even heard a story about Clemens being "out on the town" with McCready and MONICA LEWINSKY.  When you get to a story like that, the man has become a joke (again, illustrating the evil of rumors oand gossip on this stufff).

Of curse, if Clemens had sex with a 15 year old girl, he SHOULD BE IN JAIL.  However, I have noticed that the media/leftist/"politically correct" view of "statutory rape" depends a lot on the circumstances (especially the target and agenda involved).  Leftists of the Playboy philosophy/Planned Parenthood kind often look with ridicule on the idea that sex is not a GOOD THING, so long as you use "portection" (look at Planned Parenthood and giveing birth control pills to 11 year olld girls in Maine).  In fact, Planned Parenthood has, serval times, been caught REFUSING to identify underage girls who are pregnant, in terms of reporting to the authorities so that statutory rape can be investigated, on the grounds that it keeps such girls from going to Planned Parenthood for abortions (without parental input).  Yet, let a polygamist cult be involved in statutory rape, and covering up statutory rape, and it is a really terrible, horrible thing (as it is, for Planned Parenthood, Roger Clemens, or anyone else).

This may seem like a digression, but it is all part of the same thing.  Sex (non-marital, promiscuous kind) IS hazardous to your health.  As I have said before, those who PRMOTE sex for young girls (and everyone else), and fight the idea of abstinence education and the idea of exposing the consequences of promiscuous sex, HAVE BLOOD ON THEIR HANDS.   I see not much difference between them and polygamist cults (oh, there is no doubt that the polygamist cults are more knowingly evil, but the consequences of what Planned Parenthood--to use one example--are much more extensive and harmful, to MANy more people).

Now we come to the attorney general of Ohio (Democrat, who came into office after scandals involving Republicans in Ohio).  Three aides of this guy were found to have engaged in sexual harassment, and were fired, after an investigation.  Now it has come out that the attorney general himself had an adulerous affair (sexual harassment?  Certaqinly possible.) with an employee in the office.  However, he (initially, at least) refused to resign, despite the discipline imposed on others in his office (not to mention the clear "frat boy" climate in the whole office).

Again, this blog wonders when politicians, potential politicians, and others in the limelight are going to get the message:  Sex is hazardous to your health (career health, even if you don't care about the other kinds).  If and when this message finally gets through, we might be on the road to pulling back from Sodom and Gomorrah (I have previously indicated that I wish I believed in the God of Sodom and Gomorrah, instead of being a skeptical agnostic, since there is something very attractive about the idea of such a God again cleaning house).
