You may think that the above headline is insensitive. I just don't know any other way to illustrate how stupid I think one of today's typcial left wing AP/AOL stories is. The story is about RENAMING (evidently restoring an old name) a place in New York a LUNATIC ASYLUM (a group bought the place after it was acutioned off). This is the disgraceful AP/AOL headline:
Asylum's Renaming Insults Advocates"But others say the new owners of the massive Gothic Revival hospital have gone too far, disparaging the suffering of former patients and reopening wounds with planned events like "Psyco Path" dirt bike races on the grounds."
For anyone who doubts that the mainstream media (specifically including the desicable Associated Press) have become public relations agents for left wing LOONS, as well as being left wing loons themselves, consider the above hadline and above quoted paragraph.
How NUTS is this? A NAME CHANGE is supposed to "disparage the suffering of patients" and "insult advocates". Give me a break.
You think I am exaggerating. Not a chance. Consider this later ridiculous excerpt from the story:
"Scott Miller, director of Mountain State Direct Action Center, said one former patient burst into tears after seeing the name on a sign.
"It's not just that I'm a liberal and I think it's not a good idea; it's seeing people physically hurt," he said. "That's about all I needed to know."
For leftists like the above quoted person, symbol and feeling are everything. Logic and perspective are nothing.
Remember what mental health "advocates" have done for the mentally ill that used to be in mental institutions. To a large degree, they have managed to put those people OUT ON THE STREETS as homeless people.
The story itself makes clear that I am NOT exaggerting about about how loony these people are in going beyond hysteria on these unimportant things.
