Polls R.I.P.

I actually heard this statement of Fox News (part of the mainstream media problem and NOT part of the solution):  Polls as to Barack Obama's lead in Mississippi vary from 24% to 6%, but even 6% is beyond the margin of error.  This was said with a straight face.

How can you have a disparity in polls of 18% and talk about a margin of error of 4%?  It is insane.  The emperor has no clothes.  Polls have been fully exposed this election year for the useless, evil things that they are.

Polls had Barack Obama winning in Wisconsin by about 6%.  He won by 17%.  Polls had Hillary Clinton ahead in Ohio by a few percentage points.  She won by 10% (a LANDSLIDE).  Even in Texas, polls had an even race.  Hillary Clinton won by 4%.

Since the emperor has no clotes, SHY does the media keep repeating poll resutlts?  WHY does the media--at least Fox News--qoute the Real Clear Polliticas AVERAGE of polls as if it had more scientific validity than individual polls (a LIE--scientifically  and statistically FALSE).  I assure you:  averaging polls--at least some of which are invalid--does NOT help the average become valid.  It merely reduces the magnitude of possible error (as ALL averages do, evien if you were just averaging total guesses).

Answer as to WHY the meida keeps quoting polls as if they had any meaning:  They don't know any other way to cover an election.  That is sad.
