What is the approach of the really corrupt, contemptible mainstream emdia on the Wright story?
Right. First it was the Anderson Cooper/leftist line that the story was merely an irrelevant deflecting of the political debate away from the "real" issues in the campaign (such as the mainstream media smears of Republicans on infinitely less grounds).
Now tonight's AP/AOL story is about Obama DENOUNCING his pastor's comments after 9/11, even though the story does not give any feel of the magnitude of the racial hatred that Reverend Wright has been spewing. In contrast, AOL has failed to feature the story in the first place, until Obama gave the mainstream media a chance to defend him (without ever examing the real issue of why he ramained a member of this church, without condemning the pastor, until faced with a political problem).
Is it wrong for a white politician to belong to an organization/church that spews out racial HATRED on a regular basis? Of course it is. To do so is to encourage/promote evil. It does not matter whether the white politician AGREES with the racial hate speech.
Since that is true, does it not follow that we have to expect the same standards from an African-American politician? Sure we do. In fact, it is a form of subtle racism to expect LESS of a black politician. See my reply to art1920's comment on an earlier entry.
Blaming the USA for 9/11, and terrorism in the world, is merely the anti-Amiercan part of what Obama's pastor of 20 years has said IN HIS SERMONS. The RACIST part is WORSE. That includes not only the allegation that the government is trying to destroy black people by providing them with drugs, but the allegation that white people in the USA "invented" the AIDS virus to destroy black people (and others)--an assertion so unbelievable that I would never have believed it if I had not heard/seen the video whee Wright said it. It is not enough to say that you disagree with a statement like that. You have to explain why you remained in a church that taught such virulent racial hatred.
Perhaps my friend Tony (sometimes referred to disparagingly in this blog, and therefore entitled to an occasional favorable mention) said it better:
"I wondered when you were going to weigh in on Rev. Hate. I believe Hillary and McCain's ship has come in with Obama's connection to this clown. Is Obama responsible for words of his pastor. Of course not. Is Obama responsible for attending a church with this racist spewing forth this garbage (for 20 years). Absolutely."
P.S. Note that Tony did not compliment what I said, and note that he never makes any comment directly on this blog (the coward!!!!). Oh well. A true prophet is often unappreciated in his own time. I have a feeling that Tony agrees with art1920 (comment to first major blog entry on Wright) that I was wrong to dismiss the rather clear evidence of extremism and racial hatred ("Balck Value System") on the website of this church. I admit that it did not strike me as that big an issue. But the level of racial hatred spewed in these sermons is truly disturbing. No wonter black people are learning to hate this country, if that is what their "leaders" are telling them. It is a disservice to black people to be taught this kind of unreasoning hatred. It is also a disservice to them for the mainstream media to adopt a double standard as to a white politician being a member of a church with a pastor belonging to the Ku Klus Klan (can you even imagine?), and Barack Obama belonging to the church of Jeremiah Wright. The destructive support of racial hatred is the same--just coming from people of different colors.

The fairy tale is over.
Obama's pixie dust is wearing off.
A few in the corporate media are finally starting to reveal some details about this man's judgment.
I speak of Obama's long association with his spiritual advisor, Rev. Jeremiah Wright.
Obama says he didn't know Wright was far, far left. While that is hard to believe, it says that Obama is not a very discerning judge of character. And it shows poor judgment for a presidential candidate to allow such an extremist to serve on his campaign.
Rev. Wright says AIDS was created by the US government to kill black people.
Come on!
"I didn't know about that man, Rev. Wright." Is that what Obama is telling us?
But there is more to come.
Obama's friend, William Ayers, is an unrepentent terrorist.
An Obama fund raiser, Rashid Khalidi, supports terrorists.
Wait till these tidbits come out. Maybe they won't release them till after Obama wins the nomination.
These associations with radicals show that Obama does not yet have the judgment nor the experience to be at the top of the ticket.
