Is Barack "World" Obama "white"? He was raised by a WHITE mother, was he not? He is no more than 50% black. WHO is "African-American? Are we back to the infamous Black Codes, where anyone with 20% African-American "blood" (the blood in air is red) being "black". The whole discussion is RACIST, and it gets really worse.
Look at my daughters. They are 50% Mexican-American, and look like California girls. Are they "wite"? Does it change your opinion that, by (questionable, but only as to the degree) family history, I am 1/8 Native American--probably more native American than that infamous leftist fraud professor who was head of a "Native American Studies" department at a Colorado university, and became a famous anti-American leftist.
As I have correctly said in this blog before, almost ALL of us are MONGRELS. In fact, are Hispanics "non-white"? Who says? They are MAINLY Caucasian, usually mixed with Indian (Native American) "blood" (like ME). If I HAD to label Hispanics, I would call them WHITE (certainly if black, oriental, and white were the three choices, and probably even if you added "Indian" into the mix). Are Semitic Jews "white"? You can keep going down the list. There is just NO adequate DEFINITON of this things. Therefore, if you make a point out of labeling people by RACE, you are--basically by definiton--a RACIST.
I have said before that MOST racists in the U.S. today are LEFRTISTS, including the mainstream media. They are the people who insist on LABELING people by race, and defining people AND THEIR RIGHTS by race.
You doubt me? Oh, you really are a FOOL, aren't you.
More than a decade ago, I CANCELLED my subscription to Scientific Aermican, and wrote a letter accusing (again correctly) the publication of perverting science in the name of politics, in a RACIST article. I have seen the same basic article repeated again and again by racist leftists, and the racist mainsteam media.
Scientific American presented this "research scientist" (no more "scientist" than I am--in fact considerably less of a scientist, since i have a Bachelor of Science degree in physics--a real science) describing how white Americans in the U.S. would soon be a minority, and that such "transformation" of American society will transform our politics and values.
The first part of this is a lie, in a fundamental sense. There is NO definition of "white Americans" that makes any sesnse. If you count Hispanics as Caucasian, which on balance they are, then the statement is ridiculous.
What is going on here? You know it as well as I do. This is the leftist/Reverend Wright idea that "people of color" will take REVENGE on "white Europeans" for their "oppression" throughout history of "people of color". This is the theory although most present Hispanic families were not even in this country at the time "discrimination" against "people of color" was a problem in this country.
I can't tell you how racist this is. I have seen the same thing from leftist columnists in the El Paso Times (Hispanic yes, but the defining word here is "LEFTIST"). They have explicitly stated that once "people of color" "take over", things will be different. They will put "whites" in their place, and treat them like "whites" treated "people of color". By the wary, are Greeks, Italians, etc. "white", or "people of color". They are mostly DARKER than my Hispanic daughters and 100% Hispanic ex-wife.
If you do't see how racist this is, you are beyond hope. The whole concept upon which this country was founded was INDIVIDUAL liberty--part of which liberty is represented by the idea of free markets and a LIMITED Federal Government. Yes, it is a blot on our history that slavery ever existed here, and that we discriminated against African-Americans so long continued. But the "white Americans" NOW alive in the U.S. mainly had nothing to do with the historical discrimination. And the "brown" Americans now in the U.S. have mainly not even been here long enough to have been massively discriminated against (and never were discriminated against on the level the Africain-Americans were discriminated against). Have my daughters been discriminated against? Don't be silly.
WNY should "people of color" not believe in the same things that made this the greatest country the world has ever known? There is NO reason, other than the racist Reverend Wright/leftist view that African-Americans THINK differently and LEARN differently than "white Europeans". Add to this the idea that "people of color" will band together to PUNISH "white Europeans"--all except the enlightened leftists who are treating them as victims incapable of thinking as individuals rather than being only part of a racial or ethnic group ready to join together with other "people of color" to turn on their "white European oppressors. Is it not insulting to suggest that "white Europeans" built this greatest and freest country the world has ever known, and that "people of color" will turn it into something radically different? Of course it is insulting AND racist.
I think this fantasy of racial revenge and racial guilt is a LOSER for leftists. Americans are not only better than that, but they don't think that way. Even in this age of ridiculously bad leftist education, Americans know better than that, even if leftists and the mainstream media--not to mention academia--do not. I admit to some nervousness as to the "young people" fascination with Obama. However, that is--as McCain ads suggest--a fascination with "celebrity" and the "rock star", JFK type image that appeals to the young. I worry more that the public at large is abandoning the idea of economic freedom upon which the country was founded, in favor of the historically discredited idea of central planning--that a properly administered Federal Government can take care of us all. THAT is the area where conservatives are losing, and NOT the ridiculous idea of "color" politics.
This leftist ANTICIPATION of "white Europeans" being supersed by "minorities" fully embracing leftist politics is at least 2 to 3 decades old, if not older. But the racist emphasis on this non-event (wishful thinking by leftists?) approaching continues. Today, AOL featured the SAME tired old story, which caused me to never pick up a Scientific American for about the last decade. Yes, today's story was filled with the same old anticipation that the "power" of "white Europeans" is about over. By 2042, "white Americans--so says this stupid, racist, leftist view--will be a minority, if you believe the breathless story.
It is a lie. By 2042, the situation will be exactly the same as it is now (although I have fears about the ever expanding Federal Government, and I have a few qualms about ILLEGAL immigration). Lest you forget, the U.S.A. was started mainly by BRITISH. Further, women (another "minority") did not even fully have the vote until 1919 (mistake though that was). The mantra USED to be that this country was run by WASPs--by White, Anglo Saxon Males. White, Anglo Saxon males have been a SMALL minority of the voting public in this country for a long time.
In addition to women getting the vote, we have had WAVES of immigrants. There were the more ethnic Europeans--the Italians, Central Europeans, Spanish, Mexican-Americans, Chinese, South Vietnamese, and etc. The British had originally, of course, pushed the French into Canada (French and Indian War), and the Spanish had been pretty much relegated to the South. What did the original BRITISH have in common with the Poles, Italians, Chinese, Iris, and all of the rest? Not much. Do these people all think of themselves as "white Europeans"? Of course not. The idea that all "whites" are the SAME is RACIST in the extreme.
And what about the "browns" (Hispanics, which--again--are CAUCASIAN)? Are they all the SAME? What rot. Cubans are not the same as Mexicans. Brazilians are not the same as Puerto Ricans or Argentinians, ans so on. it is even more ridiculous to suggest that Hispanics, unless they are LEFTIST activist Hispanics, identify with other "people of color" is similarly ridiculous. The idea that African-Americans identify with, say, the Japanese or Chinese is beyond ridiculous. It is all stupid, and racist. It really does mean absolutely nothing that "white" Americans will--if you ignore the impossible definition problem--be a minority sometime around 2040 or 2050, it is absurd to suggest that individual categories of "white"Americans have not been a minority for a long time. And "white" Americans will STILL be a VAST majority in 2050 if you properly put Hispanics in that catetory. Even more properly, MIXED race Americans hold a vast majority now, and will hold a vaster majority in 2050 (as we individuals of the species homo sapiens continue to interbreed).
As I have said repeatedly, there is no such thing as Hispanic "blood", or African-American "blood", or Native American "blood". There is definitely no such thing as "white American blood"--except for leftists, the mainstream media, and other bigots. In air, the "blood"
The left, and anyone else who puts forth this racist view that it matters whether "white Americans" become a minority, have no excuses. They want to DEFINE people by the racial or ethnic group to which they arguably belong (if you ignore that there is NO definition of how is part of a particular racial or ethnic group and who is not).
That is simply wrong. People deserve to be ALL regarded as individuals, and not defined by the racieal or ethnic group to which they might or might not belong. We are all individual members of the same species, homo sapiens.
