Hurricane Fay Another Media Disappointment

Does it ever owrry the mainstream media that they ROOT for hurricanes even more than they seem to root for terrorists agsinst the Bush Administration? It should.  This unmerciful hype of storms, besides catering to the absolute myth that stroms have been scientifically linked to "global warming", is a disgraceful, hardly concealed, attempt to gloos over facts in favor of SCARE (even when it seems to reflect a media HOPE for human suffering).

It is just another nail in the coffin of media credibility (oxymoron).

P.S.  I KOW Fay "hit Florida as nothing more than a tropical storm less violent than an El Paso thunderstorm.  That is the point, isn't it?  Yes, I also know that hurricanes are dangerous, and that evnetually other bad ones will hit the U.S.  Read "The Boy Who Cried Wolf" again however.  The media performs NO service by failing to simply report the facts on these weather events.  It performs a DISSERVICE, as people begin to disregard "wargings".  There is no substitute for reporting of real facts, and giving people the impression that you are trying to be scientific and measured in your response to these storms.  Once people get the idea that they are being deliberately SCARED, the seeds for disaster will have been sown.
